Here's my card...

I started with some fun BoBunny heart paper and added some cardstock stamped with my PTI sentiment, a doily tag by MS, a couple of punched hearts and my simple white postcard. I added some sweet, frilly sheer ribbon, a couple of red gems and a pearl flourish. Now I have a sweet valentine for someone special!

Hi there! It's time for the next My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! I thought it was funny I had just made a card with these colors and then I saw these beautiful colors for our challenge...glad I like them so much! Here's my card...

I paired up the jam jar image from the MTME Sweet Treats set with this sentiment from the On Display set! I colored my image with Copics and used my Spellbinder dies to cut it out. I added a black and white gingham bow topped with a button and twine and a few gems!

Wherever You Are...

Hi there! One of my resolutions this year was to get back to playing along with my favorite challenges and I'm doing just that!

Here's a beauty I made for the Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful Challenge. This month's theme is The Beauty of Bling! I started with this image that I started coloring quite some time ago...it's not like me to not finish something, but something must have happened to make me stop. Whatever the reason, I had some time today to finish it up and create a card for a dear friend of mine!

I used several Flourishes sets for this one... the image is from Sweet Violets, the sentiment is from Windows to the World and the little decorative flourish next to the sentiment is from the Seeds of Friendship set!

The image is colored with Copics and then cut out using the 'outside the box' method...or oval in this case! I embossed and inked my background paper, added a layer of vellum for my sentiment and topped it with a silky green ribbon and bow. The black bling by Want 2 Scrap was the perfect size and shape for this card!

Oh how I have missed playing along with the talented ladies at Flourishes, but I'm back now! Have a great weekend!

Hi there! Just popping in to share a card I made for a couple of challenges! I haven't been able to find the time here lately to play along with some of my faves, but I had a bit of time this evening so I took advantage of it!

Here's Wryn, a new character by Tiddly Inks, and this image is called New Nest! I colored her and her little birdy friend with Copics and cut them out with my Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies. The color palette is from the Tiddly Inks Challenge 78 where we're using green, yellow, orange and blue. It's so Springy and I am ready for Spring so I couldn't resist! This super fun sketch is from The Craft's Meow January-February Card Sketch Challenge!

I added some roses, a shabby seam binding bow, some punched leaves, a little hand-cut bird and my sentiment by JustRite Stampers. There's a bit of MFT here too...the doily die border! Thanks for taking a peek and have a great evening!

Hi there! It's Monday and I'm here sharing another card I made for my Guest Designer spot at one of my all-time favorite challenges... The Shabby Tea Room! This week's inspiration is just so gorgeous! Don't you agree?!

The theme for this week's challenge "Sparkly and Bright" and the challenge is to use this beautiful photo along with white and/or cream, silver, neutrals and a splash of pink!

I wasn't sure at first how I was going to use this combination, but I recently purchased this new Spellbinders Nested Teacups set and I was soon on my way to creating this lovely little card.

I used a Memory Box script stamp in gray on the teacup and my sentiment from PTI! A ruffly white sheer ribbon topped with a pink sheer bow and a pretty silver brad complete the package and a pearl flourish is the finishing touch!

Hi there! It's Monday and I'm here sharing another card I made for my Guest Designer spot at one of my all-time favorite challenges... The Shabby Tea Room! This week's inspiration is oh so yummy and I love these beautiful colors! The theme is "Gorgeous Gateaux" and the challenge is to use this great photo along with the colors pink, peach, lilac and gray. You will also need to use lace and a metal embellishment!

Here's my card...

I started this card by stamping this lovely sentiment from the Taylored Expressions 'Treasure Life' set onto some vellum and placing it over my dp. I layered up some Sizzix leaves edged in lilac, some pinky peach roses and a bit of lace. A few pale pink pearls in the corner and a metal heart complete the package!

Hi there! It's time for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! I have to admit I was actually 'challenged' by this color combo, but I think I'll be using it in the future! Here's a bookmark I made for one of my daughter's friends...

I cut out this flower from the MTME Be Dazzled set along with my sentiment and layered it up with some sparkly pink paper, a spellbinders tag die cut and a few gems. I kept it simple and pretty flat since it would be in between the pages of a book!

Hi there! It's Monday and I'm here sharing another lovely I made for my Guest Designer spot at one of my all-time favorite challenges... The Shabby Tea Room! This week's inspiration is full of shabby goodness and great colors! The theme is 'Vintage Boudoir' and you just need to use this great photo along with it's colors and a sewing item!

Here's my card...

We celebrated my Mom's birthday yesterday even though we just buried my grandfather a couple of days before. She wanted the family to 'get back to normal' and so we did.

I used some pretty BoBunny papers for this card, along with stamps from several sets by My Favorite Things...Clearly Senitmental About Family, Wendy Alpha and a la modes Birthday Girl. The dressform is a PTI die and I used my Spellbinders circle dies too. There's a few buttons, a doily, a shabby seam binding bow and pearls of course! I also used the sketch from the MFT WSC Getting Sketchy #53.

I used the new Pretty Impressions Printables papers called Island Love that match the palette perfectly! They're part of the new January Release! I also paper-pieced a set of oven mitts from the What's Cookin' set and a sentiment from the Yummy Sentiments set! My Spellbinders dies are the perfect shape for this tag. I used a die from the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three set and oval dies for the center. A few silver dots and a pretty bow ties it all up!

Owl Always Have You...

Hi there! Guess What? I'm Guest Designing at one of my all-time favorite challenges... The Shabby Tea Room! I miss the Shabby Girls so much!

Here's a sweet inspiration photo for this week's challenge along with the theme called "Time Flies." Use the photo and include something with WINGS on your card or project!

I was inspired by the owls on the bedding along with the quilt and branch above the bed. Here's what I cam up with...

I fashioned a faux quilt by making a patchwork of patterned papers by MME and stamped my little Unity owl duo in pink to match! I cut them out using my Spellbinders circle dies and added a couple of MFT branches, my sentiment cut out with another MFT die, some shabby seam binding bows topped with a BG brad, ribbon, and some blingy flowers and leaves! A couple sets of pearl eyes give my owl friends the finishing touch.

Hi there! It's holiday color time at the My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! Get out your favorite Christmas Red and Christmas Green and add your choice of color! Here's my card...and I added some black!

I colored up the Mr. Claus image and paired him up with this adorable reindeer from the Holly Jolly set! They are popped up atop some fun Imaginisce holiday paper, a few swirls cut with a Sizzix die and a sweet sheer bow. My sentiment is from the Beautiful Baubles set and is cut out with a Spellbinders labels die. I was so excited to use my Copics again and to try my hand at fussy cutting since my eye issues are subsiding.

Well, hello there! I'm just popping in today to show you that I actually took some me time and played in my craft room!!! Yay! So, my first order of business was to play along with The Shabby Tea Room...oh how I have missed playing along with the Shabby Girls! This week's theme is "The Stockings Were Hung by the Chimney with Care" and this beautiful inspiration photo caught my eye! Debbie and the girls have some fabulous eye candy to show you too! HI GIRLS! (waving!)

I started with my Spellbinders die cut stocking and embossed it with the Spellbinders snowflake embossing plate, inked it up and added this shabby bow topped with an antique bronze brad! It's all sitting atop several shades of greens using my pine branch punch and the poinsettia dies from Spellbinders. I added some tulle that I inked to match, some pearls in the corner and few pearly sprigs sticking out the right side too! My sentiment is from PTI!

I sure hope you'll stop by The Shabby Tea Room and see what those crafty Shabby Girls have been up to lately! I promise I'll be stopping by now that I am recovering from my eye issues!

Last Minute Christmas Cards at Paper and Such!

I was going for a country Christmas feel for this one and I really like the plaid poinsettia! Since I've had some eye issues lately, I haven't been coloring images, so I took the opportunity to get out my Spellbinders Poinsettia dies and have some fun! I used my Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles for the background and even the Ribbon Banners for my sentiment...it's from the Paper and Such Christmas Flowers set! I added a little distressing and popped it up for some dimension! A sheer bow sits atop some punched greens and a few pearls finish the center of my poinsettia!

Season's Greetings to You and Yours!

Hi there! It's time for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! What a great color combo this week! Here's my card...

I was obviously in a 'vintage' mood for this one and decided to use a bit of extra neutrals for my card, but as you can see, my ornaments are the focal point and are the colors in the palette! I re-colored the Dainty Damask Pretty Impressions Printables papers to match the palette this week and printed the ornaments from the Beautiful Baubles set on the papers. To keep the pattern size small, I printed my papers at 3.5 x 5 size all on the same page and positioned my ornaments in the areas of the printed patterns...this saves paper too! (although it looks like my celery color is very light, in real life it's darker)

I colored the ornament tops with brown Copics, tied them up with some twine and sheer ribbon and popped them up on top of a distressed doily, some roughed up brown cardstock topped with sheer ribbon and added my sentiment from the Beautiful Baubles set...it's cut out with a Spellbinders label die and was distressed to match everything else on this card! A couple of pearls are the finishing touch!

Hi There! Have You Missed Me?

Hi there! I just wanted to pop in and clean out the cobwebs on this blog of mine! I'm still around, but haven't really had much time to create these days. I don't like to burden people with my personal issues, but just in case you're wondering where I've been and why I haven't been posting very often, here's a little info about a condition I have that affects every aspect of my life...especially being crafty!

In September 2009, my left eye became blurry in the center of my vision and I went to see a retina specialist. After many tests that day, they diagnosed me with Choroidal Neovascularization. I had a group of blood vessels growing irregularly on my retina and one had burst and was leaking blood into my eye. The small central blob of blurry vision was the blood in my eye. If nothing was done about it, I could have completely lost the vision in my left eye. As it was, the vision I had lost already was going to be permanently gone. They immediately started me on a monthly series of injections of Avastin, a colorectal chemotherapy medicine. These injections are directly into my eye, which is pretty scary. I had three treatments the first time and the problem stopped.

In April of this year, it recurred and I had two monthly treatments which resolved the issue. That time, there was no hemorrhage, which is a very good thing.

A few weeks ago, my left eye became blurry in the center again and I have a hard time seeing the computer unless I close my left eye. As you can imagine, cutting out images and coloring in the lines have been difficult to say the least. I have always been aware that it could possibly happen again, but I wasn't prepared for it to happen so soon this time.

I addition to all of this, I have been fighting an endless battle with my dental needs. I have had numerous root canals this year and as of today, I need at least five crowns. As you know, they are expensive when you combine the prep needed for the crowns as well as the cost of the crown itself.

So, I'll be around, but until the eye injections work their magic and I can see properly, it will be limited. I'm hoping to be posting more after the holidays and getting back into this hobby that I love so much. It saddens me to walk past my craft room and not be able to go in an play with all my toys!

The picture in this post is the small tree in my foyer...just something fun for the holiday! It's my lime green and red tree that matches the outside decorations on my house including the wreath on my front door...maybe I'll share a picture of that later this week!

Here's my card for the hop...

I love making Thank You cards, so this one was easy for me! I immediately thought of the Tweet Hearts set and I knew just the sentiment I wanted to use! I followed the awesome sketch by Sankari Wegman (up there on the left) and added a few extras like my little sentiment at the top from the Moka Olivia set, a pearl flourish and a little bow!

I stamped the branch and leaves on this fun cloud paper and cut it all out with my Spellbinders circle dies. The bird is stamped and cut out by hand, then popped up for some dimension. I added a little gem for her eye! The scalloped border and sentiment are cut out using MFT dies.

These are my Thanksgiving dinner table placecards! I used my PTI placecard die and outline stamp and then added lots of color with my DeNami Designs Autumn Petit Fours stamp set! I stamped the acorn in the circle and some leaves next to our names. Then I colored them with Copics and put them in the little wire holders. It was so simple, but will add a special touch to each place setting at our holiday table!

Hi there! It's time for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! I am lovin' this color combo this week! Here's my card...

I started this special card with a couple of patterned papers from the Serenity Pretty Impressions Printables set. I cut out the sentiments from the My Little Friend set with my Spellbinders dies along with several layers. The edges were inked and the panels are popped up for some dimension. The flower is cut from an image in the Bold Botanicals set, colored with copics to match the dp and topped with a pink gem. A pretty pink bow finishes it up!

I decided to use this adorable Unity Itty Bitty Stamp called The Little Things! It's not your traditional kind of stamp to use for this technique, but it had just enough space to show my patterned paper and I like how it turned out! I added a sheer ribbon and bow, a pearl flourish, and a pink flower along with some punched leaves to lots of layers of cardstock and a polka dotted MME paper.

Grandma Christmas Tag!

Hi there! It's time for another new release at Paper and Such!l Today's peek is the new Kids Speak set!

There's lots of adorable words for you to use on cards, layouts and even tags! Here's a a sweet Christmas gift tag I made for Grandma!

I used the snow angel from the new Snow Folks set and cut it out with my circle dies, then added a few more layers of Memory Box dp and some cardstock cut with some fancy edges. I cut out my banner, stamped it with her name, added a couple of pearls and popped it up with some pop dots. There's also some Diamond Stickles on her wings. A sheer pink ribbon to tie is on her gift is all it needed!

I started with by coloring this pretty floral image from the MTME Bold Botanicals set with Copics and paired it with a sweet sentiment from the My Little Friend set. I used lots of dies on this one, including Spellbinders oval dies and the rest are from My Favorite Things. A big pink bow and some pearls finish it off nicely!

Hi there! I know I haven't been around much lately, we've had a busy week at our house, but I just had to share this card with you. It's my final post as a Guest at All That Scraps! I have had so much fun for the last two months showcasing their September and October releases!

Here's a super cute C.C. Designs image called Swiss Pixie The Group! There are five adorable characters on this stamp! I had the best time picking out papers to paper-piece parts of their outfits and coloring in other parts of their clothes! This sweet sentiment is perfect for the image and it's from the new AmyR. Stamps set called Handy Christmas Greetings! I added some leaves cut with the C.C. Designs Cutter Leaves Die and a felt poinsettia by Making Memories and topped it with a gem! A sweet little ribbon and bow and a few gems are the finishing touches!

Here's my card for the hop...

All of this fun stuff can be found in the TE Hangin' Out - Wicked Wardrobe set! First, I stamped my sky with Memento London Fog for a more gloomy day look and then I paper-pieced the dress and undies and hung them on the line from a thin twisted gingham ribbon. I added some felt grass cut with a MFT die and the broom which was hand cut and propped up on the post. I stamped a few bats and a black cat peeking up from the grass. There's also a couple of gems on the posts. The sentiment is cut with a Spellbinders die and popped up for dimension. A couple of orange gems and this little gem is done!

Hi there! I have a new Whimsy Inspirations Challenge for you today! We're Making Our Own Flowers this week and we really hope you'll join us! Here's my card for the challenge...

I have used this sweet sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs...it's from the Warm Winter Wishes Sentiments set available at Whimsy Stamps!

Lots of Spellbinders dies used on this one...I cut the sentiment out with the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two set and I cut it out a second time in green as an extra layer. There are two layers cut with the Labels Twenty set. I also made the large rose with a Spellbinders die...it's the Spiral Blossoms One die. The leaves peeking out at the corner are cut with the Foliage set too.

The two smaller roses are cut with the MFT Mini Rolled Roses dies and stacked inside each other. I added some Marianne's flourishes, a sheer pink ribbon, some pearls and a bit of Sticles on the decorative part of the paper!

This one is from the new C.C. Designs Laugh Lines collection and it's called Christmas Car...isn't it too cute!? It's colored with Copics and paired up with a few of the sentiments from the new AmyR Stamps Big Christmas Wishes set! I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with my Spellbinders dies and popped it up for some dimension! I added a pretty pink sating ribbon that matches this bright snowflake dp and a row of Christmas bulb stickers and a few gems.

Sparkly Wishes

Wow! I had the best weekend in Pittsburgh visiting my son at college and today is my birthday and I'm off work, so I'm here with another C.C. Designs October Release from All That Scraps!

I was so excited to see this little fella in the envelope when I got the new releases! He's adorable and I knew I had the perfect dp to use! He's called Reindeer Lights and he's colored up with Copics and cut out with me Spellbinders dies...as usual!

I layered him up with this fun dp that has cutesy reindeers tangled in lights too! I added a black sheer bow topped with a sparkly red brad and a couple of strings of lights. The lights are one of the new dies called the Christmas Bulb Border! I cut it out with heavy black cardstock, then cut out several bulbs of each color. The bulbs were glued onto the main border and given a dose of Diamond Stickles to make them sparkly like the sentiment says! This sentiment is a new release too...you can find it in the store HERE!

I have tons of this leaf dp from K & Co. and I wanted to use these new Cheery Lynn leaf dies I got at the stamp show this weekend...so they made a perfect match! My sentiment is from the Poppies stamp set at Paper and Such! It's stamped on some crackle dp and I just love this verse! I layered up some leaves cut with various papers and added a little butterfly! There's also some sheer ribbon topped with an antique bronze brad and a few pearls!

Hi there! It's time to show you a couple of C.C. Designs October Releases from All That Scraps!

Here's a cutie called Ornament Ewe! He's colored with Copics and his body and fluffy hair are puffed up with some snow paint! This little guy is sitting atop a paper-pieced ornament. There's a bit of Stickles added to the shine on the ornament too! I cut him out with my Spellbinders circle dies and made it look like he was the ornament on this great dp I had in my stash.

My sentiment is a new release too...you can find it in the store HERE!

I added a sheer blue ribbon and bow topped with a big pearl brad, snowflake die cuts, a punched snowflake and some pearls to the corner!

Hi there! It's time for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! We have another great color combo this week and I decided to make a fun tag...here it is...

Here's the recipe...One jar, one sentiment and one small pear from Well Preserved digi stamp set, One label from Be Dazzled image set, One yellow dp from Citrus Peel, One green dp from Trendy Forest, One melon dp from Gardening Greats set! Cut them all out and paper-piece to your heart's content! Shade with coordinating Copic markers. Add a bit of twine wrapped around the lid and tie in a bow. Punch a hole in top and pull through a bit of rick rack!

Hi there! It's time for another new release set at Paper and Such! The team and I are showing you a peek of the new Christmas Flowers set today!

Don't you just love the detail in these gorgeous poinsettias?! I am a huge fan of the pretty pink-ish ones you see at the holidays, so I went for it and colored them with shades of off-white and peachy pink! The centers are covered in Diamond Stickles and I cut them apart, then popped them up for some dimension.

I added a piece of sparkly poinsettia dp, some embossed cardstock, a sheer ribbon and bow and my sentiment with a string of pearls along each side!

Happy Winter - New Stamps at Paper and Such!

Hi there! It's my first new release with the Paper and Such team and I am thrilled to show you a peek of the new Swirly Trees set! I decided to use the snowflake tree from the set, so I inked it up with Memento Bahama Blue and added a bit of Stardust Stickles to the centers of the snowflakes. You can see it better in the detail picture...just click on it to make it larger!

I added a sentiment from the same set and kept this card pretty simple...in my opinion! There's some snowflake embossing on the white background panel, a bright blue snowflake dp panel, some white sheer ribbon and a ton of snowflakes layered up and topped with an irridescent snowflake! I used snowflake dies by several companies on this one and even used some vellum as one of the layers!

Every Day YOU Make Me Proud!

Hi there! I'm sick today, but I had to finish this little project for the My Favorite Things October Guest Designer Challenge! It's a Book Box and card for my lovely daughter! Her favorite color is lavender and her room is newly decorated in black, white and lavender!

She is an avid reader and at any time you can find her quietly reading a book in her room! I assembled my book box and made a sleeve to slide over the box!

The 'tag' is cut with the Picot Circles dies from Spellbinders and topped with layers of cardstock and my sweet image called Bedtime Story! I added a shabby seam binding bow topped with a BG brad and a gem flourish...not too much since this is a moving part! I purposely did not color anything but the little PI girl on the card, because I also underlined the word 'YOU' on my sentiment and I just wanted the little girl to be the focus! This sentiment is from the MFT Clearly Sentimental about You set! I also changed her hair a bit...made it longer since my dd has long brown hair!

My daughter truly makes me proud ....everyday! Thanks for taking a peek and have a great day!

Hi there bloggy friends! I'm back with a couple of cards featuring more Halloween images by All That Scraps! These are my last two from September and I just finished a couple of cuties for the October release!

Here's Hilda and Vlad and they look like they are ready for a party! For this card, I chose my papers first...by DCWV...and colored my image to match. I cut out the banner from the dp and added some gems to hang it up! I added a sentiment from the Ghostly Greetings set and some gem flourishes to accent Hilda!

And here's Hazel and Webster! They're colored with Copics too and I cut Hazel out and popped her up atop these fun papers. I added some glitter to the star on the sentiment from the Ghostly Greetings set and some die cut stars all around. There's a gem flourish and a big sheer bow with a sparkly brad to finish it off nicely!

I paired my newly colored images with this fun plaid paper, all three colors of sheer ribbbon and a few gems for the flower centers. I added my sentiment from the same set, cut it out in a ring and added it to my bow with a big brad.

Hi there! I'm back with another card for my guest spot at All That Scraps!
It was "one of those weeks" last week and I'm lucky I got this one done, but here's a little info for ya!

Meet Hilda and Luna...one of the new C.C. Designs Sweet November September Release images! These little witches have the cutest expressions and each one has a little 'friend' tagging along too! So cute! She's colored with Copics and I added my sentiment right onto my image layer! My colors were chosen right from the background paper by Best Creations. The sentiment is from the new Amy R. Stamps Ghostly Greetings set!

Hi there! It's time for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! This week's colors were nothing short of a challenge for me...I'm pretty sure I have NEVER used this color combination...at least not on purpose, but that's why it's called a challenge, right?! Here's what I came up with...

I started with a great patterned paper from the MTME Buzz-y Blooms collection...it has all the colors, but it was ALMOST perfect...I just added a bit of gray to the center of the flower petals with my Copic marker! Then, I added some light blue sheer ribbon and bow, a row of tiny pom-pom trim and a pretty ribbon bloom dotted with a yellow pearl. A few sprigs of Marianne die cuts in gray and yellow are the finishing touches! My sentiment is from the MTME So Sentimental digital stamp set. The edges are inked and it's popped up for a little dimension!

Let's start with these fun papers from Three Bugs in a Rug...I just love the colors...perfect for my card! The panel in the center is from the same collection and I paper-pieced the cake plate, cupcake and candle and put them slightly off center so the words would show. I added a little banner colored with Copics to match my background paper, my sentiment cut out with my Spellbinders label dies, a few sparkly gems and a sweet, polka-dotted bow!

Hi there! I have a new Whimsy Inspirations Challenge for you today! I actually chose the challenge theme this week so I hope you lie it! It's Polka Dots! Here's my card for the challenge...

Here's a super cute image by Moon Cookie Gallery at Whimsy Stamps...it's called Mary the Magnolia Fairy...isn't she sweet?! She's colored with Copics and I added lots of Stickles to her wings! I used my Spellbinders dies to cut out the image and layered it up with my mat and some coordinating polka dotted papers by K & Co. I added some ribbon topped with a BG brad, my sentiment, a little MS punched butterfly and some swirls, a few gems and some pearls!

Thurston the Vampire is Too Cute to Spook!

Hi there! Here's another card I made for my Guest Designer spot at All That Scraps. This cute little vampire's name is Thurston the Vampire and he is ready for trick-or-treating or a fun Halloween party! He's one of the new stamps in the C.C. Designs Sweet November collection at All That Scraps! The sentiment is new too...it's part of the Amy R. Stamps Ghostly Greetings set!

I like to keep my boyish cards simple, so I colored Thurston with my Copics and layered him up with some fun black and white polka-dotted paper and red cardstock to match! I added a gem flourish, some red tulle peeking out from behind his cape and a few more gems I found in my stash!

I had quite a mishap when I was finishing up this card. I decided to just touch up a corner near the hair on the forehead and my black Copic dripped a huge blob onto his forehead. Now, at this point, I could have started all over, but I decided to try a few things first to save it...from blending solution to my white paint pen...well, it worked and Thurston was saved from the garbage can!

All That Scraps Guest Designer - Witching You...

Hi there bloggy friends! I'm back with another card for All That Scraps! I am having a blast working with the September and October releases!

Here's the new C.C. Designs Laugh Lines Witch! She's colored with Copics, of course, and paired up with some fun new Halloween DCWV papers. I embossed a panel of purple to match her dress and layered up some die cuts...swirls and a flower topped with a little spider. That's a little spider cut off the end of the C.C. Designs Cutters Spider Chain Die. I added my sentiment from the Ghostly Greetings stamp set by Amy R. and fussy cut around it a bit. A tiny black bow and a few orange gems...that's it! Oh, I did actually add a bit of shimmer with a gel pen on the edges of the spiders, on the sentiment and I gave this cute witch some earrings with it too!

Hi there and Happy Monday! I know last week was my official last day with The Shabby Tea Room, but since one of the new DT members was going to be a guest this week, I have been asked to do the honor...and I would never pass up another chance to hang out with Debbie and the Shabby Girls! This week, The Shabby Tea Room Challenge has us using this inspiration photo with a Vintage White theme! You are asked to use only neutral colors for your card or project...white, cream, tan, kraft, brown and black!

My little project started out as an empty tea container that I found in the cabinet of the lunchroom at work. I removed the label, cleaned it up and got busy giving it new life as a revamped tea container!

The current JustRite Friday Challenge 058 is called Frugal Friday and it's just what this container needs...re-purposing, re-cycling and re-using as a tea time gift!

I covered the tin with some neutral papers by DCWV from the Mariposa collection and added lots of JustRite stamps including... two sentiments from the Charmed Set...one on the front of the tin and the other on the tag on the lid; the tiny flourish on either side of the front sentiment and the larger flourishes on the the tin near the flower from the Kindness Set; the fancy circle on the top of the lid is from the You Inspire Me set and my matching gift card uses the Because I Care set!

There's lots of Spellbinders used here too...The Charm Dies were used on my tag; the frame and insert on the front of the tin are the Labels Eighteen dies; the rose is made with Spiral Blossoms One; and the leaves are from the Foliage set not to mention the circle dies used on the lid too!

Oh, I had so much fun embellishing this sweet tea tin! I added Distress Stickles to the frame on the front, some Tim Holtz Sizzix flourish die cuts, pearl flourishes, a double color shabby seam binding bow topped with a giant pearl, a mini rose bud with inked edges and some more leaves and seam binding on the lid!

Here's a closer look at the lid. I'm almost tempted to keep it for myself, but it's going to have a new home with a friend of mine!

Hi there! I'm thrilled to be a Guest Sweetie at the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week! I was equally thrilled when I saw this awesome inspiration photo...it's no secret I love, love, love pink and green!!!

For my card, I used this beautiful butterfly image called Daisy Butterfly by Crissy Armstrong at Whimsy Stamps! I colored it with Copics and cut it out with a Spellbinders die...(I wish I had a nickel for every time I typed that!) The sentiment is from Verve and I cut it out with the banner Spellbinders dies. I added some black gem flourishes and some clear gems in the corners!

Hi there! It's time for another My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! This week's colors were definitely a challenge to me, until I made this!

Here's a sweet little bear from the My Time Made Easy digi set called Wonderful Woodland Creatures! He's colored with Copics and cut out with my Spellbinders circle dies. I layered him up with a pretty doily and this dp I have in my stash...it matched the palette colors perfectly! I added a yellow seam binding ribbon and bow topped with an enamel brad and there's a few gems in the corner. My sentiment is from the MTME Chase Your Dreams set.

Happy Birthday Card for Paper and Such!

Hi there! Have you been to Paper and Such yet?! My stampy friend, Julie, started a challenge and opened her own online store a few months ago and now has her own line of stamps! How exciting! And...I joined her Design Team! I love the paper lines, ribbon and stamps she carries, so it was so easy to say Yes!

The newest challenge starts today and it's a fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge! The graphic is below if you want to play along! Here's my card using one of the new stamps and ribbon, designer paper and felt from the Tic Tac Toe board!

I inked up this new Mum from the Fall Flowers stamp set! It's colored with one of my favorite Copic combinations...I don't have the numbers at my fingertips right now, but the names are Peach, Light Prawn, Prawn and Dark Red! I even traced over the stamp lines to give it a more dramatic effect.

I bought this new Spellbinders Nestie...Labels Twenty-Two...at the stamp show on Saturday and couldn't wait to get home and use it! I think it's so versatile. This layout popped into my head when I was laying in bed that night and I'm so glad I remembered it when I woke up!

I colored the flower buds with the same copics as the image to match and tied them up with a black and white gingham 'ribbon'. The leaves are my 'felt'...I just glued them on top of the paper ones. My 'designer paper' is from a paper pack I have in my stash. The red dp is the back of the paper...love it! Some silver beads in the corners make it complete!

All That Scraps Guest Designer - Week 2!

Hi there friends! It's week two of my Guest Designer Spot over at the All That Scraps Blog! You can read a little bit about me and see this adorable Fall card featuring the new C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Sunflower Hansel stamp! Isn't he handsome in plaid! I colored him with Copics and popped him up on the C.C. Designs Cutter Spooky Fence and added my sentiment and hand cut letters from the new Amy R. Stamps Fence Sentiments! His shirt and hat are paper-pieced and highlighted to match the dp too! I also used the new C.C. Designs Cutter Sunflower Embossing Die to make this sweet sunflower with two layers of petals topped with the flower center, a button and a twine bow!

Here's C.C Designs Swiss Pixie Sunflower Lula! Here, I paper-pieced her hat to match this fun, Fall sunflower dp! The panel behind her is embossed and inked to bring out the pattern! I colored her with Copics and added some sparkle with a metallic gel pen on the sunflowers. There's a fun spray of Sizzix die cut leaves, a flower bud colored to match her dress and some pretty yellow seam binding ribbon tied up in a bow. A little tag is tied on with some twine...here's another sentiment from the Fence Sentiments set! A few pearls are the finishing touch!

Hi there and Happy Monday! Today is my last official post as a Shabby Girl at The Shabby Tea Room. I have had such a wonderful time working with Debbie and all the Shabby Girls over the past year and I wish them all well...I will certainly miss them! You'll still see me there, I'll just be participating in the challenges now!

This week, The Shabby Tea Room Challenge has us using this cool inspiration photo chosen by Danielle! It's a masculine theme this week called Boys Will Be Boys! Our sponsor this week is Heartsong Designs!

I just love these new My Mind's Eye Papers from the Lost & Found Portobello Road line! The colors are fabulous and the designs are just perfect! I chose to use their sketch for my card too!

I cut my strips from the damask paper, inked the edges and topped them with my MFT scallop cut dp and a masculine striped ribbon I found in my stash! It's tied up in a knot and I added a little key tied on with a piece of packaging twine! a few brown brads complete the sketch nicely! My sentiment is a brushed metal word by Making Memories that I have been hoarding, um, I mean holding on to for a long time...perfect time to dig it out, huh?!

Oh how I love shaped cards! I went to a stamp show yesterday and picked up this new Spellbinders Nestie set...Picot Edge Circles...LOVE IT! I layered up some fun papers and then comes the tasty treat...Mimi With Birthday Cake! She's colored with my favorite Copic colors to match the dp and cut out with a Spellbinders circle die. Then, I stamped the Celebrate Circle stamp, cut it out in the center and on the outside with the circle dies and colored the 'ring' with a green Copic. I cut around Mimi's hair with a craft knife and slipped the green ring under her head! I added a little piece of pop dot to raise it up just a bit. See the detail picture! There's also a sweet sheer double bow and a blue gem tops it off!

Below you can see the inside of the card. I just cut out a white circle, inked the edges in pink and added the same Celebrate Circle stamp. There's plenty of room to sign it too!

Hi there! It's Sunday and that means it's time for a new My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! We're remembering 9/11 on this, the 10th Anniversary, and saluting those who lost their lives that tragic day with a patriotic color combo.

I just love these papers from the My Time Made Easy Cheerful Chirps Collection. I paired them up with this sweet little bird from the Just for You stamp set and colored it with a few Copics for accents. It's cut out with a Spellbinders die and popped up. I added a sheer ribbon and bow, a metal heart charm and some tiny little gems peeking out from my sentiment...speaking of which, it's from the Just for You set too!

Saying Goodbye at Stamp Something

Today, we're saying Goodbye to the Stamp Something Challenge. That's right, Stamp Something is hosting it's final challenge as it's taking a creative hiatus! So make us happy and play along for your last chance to win a prize at Stamp Something! Our theme is Anything Goes or Something to Say Goodbye...of course! We have several sponsors offering up great prizes too...

I have had such a great time creating cards and projects at Stamp Something for the past year. I will certainly miss Denise and Erin and all the DT girls...but let's not be sad about it, let's celebrate the good times we have had! Here' what I made for the challenge...and I really do mean this...Always look on the bright side of life!

I used four...count 'em, four Verve sets to create this one! There's the stems with leaves from Petals & Stems, the largest flower is the Elegant Flower, the small and medium flowers are from the Because of You set, and the sentiment is from Fluttering By! And...let me tell you...that was no easy task to get a two line sentiment into one line without getting any ink where it shouldn't be! But, I always want something my way and I'll keep trying until I get it just right...btw, a piece of scotch tape over the parts you don't want worked best! It's cut out with the PTI banner die. I'm also a huge fan of fussy cutting these days too and those little flowers are tiny...especially the cut on the tip of the petals!

I just love these MME papers from the Lost and Found collection. I used six different patterned papers on this card...two for the background, one on the scalloped edge and each flower has it's own dp! I cut the circle from Spellbinders dies and the scalloped edge is a Fiskars punch. I added a pearl to each flower center, a sheer ribbon and bow topped with a watering can brad and a few pearls in the corner! I'm definitely going to use up my brads this way...it just might take 100 years!

Got You a Little Something!

Hi there! It's still raining like crazy here in PA and MD and I just hope it stops soon. Five days is enough! Flooding has caused so many problems...schools are closed or delayed in surrounding areas...it's worse than the hurricane rains we got last week. And, I don't usually share my everyday life stories, but I feel inclined to do so today. I think my posts are a bit boring, so you might just see a few here and there in the future!

I was up most of last night with my dog...I think she is actually part yellow lab, part chicken because when it comes to thunder...she is all chicken! I wound up sleeping on the sofa last night because she was freaking out and my hubs woke me up at 5 am when he leaves for work and told me to go up to bed. That didn't last long cause I have to get up at 7 to make sure my dd is awake for school and that's when it went downhill....I lost track of the time, dozed off and woke up 5 minutes before I was supposed to be at work! Yep, it's one of THOSE mornings!

So, while I was crafting last night and trying to keep my '85 lb. hunk of love' from hiding under my legs and under my craft table, I made sure to play along with a couple of my favorite challenges! Now, she's not even allowed upstairs let alone in my craft room because the sheer strength of her whipping tail is enough to send small parts flying everywhere, so for her to be allowed in there was something special I tell ya...and she knows it! (Can you guess why they call me Chattie Pattie yet?) Now, back to the reason you're here...a card!

Here's Moka Olivia by Taylored Expressions in all her shopping glory! I wish I was shopping right now instead of sitting here dreading a trip out in the rain to go to the bank for my store. She's colored with Copics and layered up with some fun WRMK papers. I just love this sentiment...it can be used for so many occasions or 'just because!'

I kept this one pretty simple and just followed the TESC sketch. I added a couple of gems on my image and some paper buttons topped with a sparkly brad next to the sentiment. I don't know about you, but I have an over abundance of brads, so get ready...I'm vowing to try to use one on every card I make! Thanks for stopping by today!

Tiffany Doodles September Challenge - Stitching!

I colored this pretty image called Dancing Dress with my favorite pink Copics and cut it out with the circle dies by Spellbinders. Then, I layered up some lace and a pretty rose dp strip, zigzag stitched all around and added some pearls to the corners. I added a big pink bloom with a couple of leaves and some bright pink flourishes cut with a Sizzix die. My sentiment is from JustRite Stamps and it's cut out with a PTI banner die.

Hi there...I don't know about you, but I had a fabulous holiday weekend full of friends, fun and crafting! I've been working on this card for a bit today and I finally finished it!

It's for the My Favorite Things September Guest Designer Contest and it also follows the MFT Getting Sketchy #35 sketch from last week! The theme for this month's contest is Rip and Roll and boy did I have fun ripping and rolling on this one!

As you can see from the detail pic, I ripped up every edge of every layer on this card (except for the fold edge because I didn't want to make my card weak) with my scissors and I rolled lots of corners and edges too! Wanna know what else is rolled...those cute little beads hanging from my twine bow are hand rolled! And...there's tons of distressing going on here with a couple of colors of ink on the edges.

I just love the MFT a' la modes collection and here's one of my faves called All Star! I also used some MFT Die-namics on this one...there's Banner Day die in the center and the end of the Polka Dot Greetings Frame die on the top left corner! The sentiments are both from the same stamp set as the image. These yummy papers are from My Mind's Eye...they're shiny, shimmery and embossed...love them too! You Make Me Happy -All That Scraps Guest Designer!

Hi there friends! I have some fabulous news...I'll be showcasing the new stamps from All That Scraps for the next two months as their Guest Designer! I just love their adorable stamps, especially the CC Designs stamps and here's my first sample I have to share with you...

Here's Latte Kiki by CC Designs with her own grande latte! I had so much fun coloring her with Copics and paper-piecing her dress and hair bow! Isn't she sweet?! I decided to cut her out and pop her up for some dimension since I made this great big bloom with my new Spellbinders Spiral Blossoms One to match her outfit and background paper. I have a feeling I'll be using this die a lot!!! I added a few more little flowers along with a sheer bow and some Sizzix flourishes.

I followed the sketch over at the Paper Sundaes challenge (Hi girls!) for this one and embossed my yellow panel and strips with my swiss dots folder...did you notice that the dimples are upside down? I did that on purpose to try something new! I think it's kinda interesting!

My sentiment is from the new All That Scraps Fence Sentiments by Amy R. I just love the font on this one too! I popped it up to match the image and added a couple of bright red pearls to top it off!

Hi there! It's Sunday and that means it's time for a new My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! This week's colors are right up my alley...one of my favorite colors is turquoise! Here's my card using this fun color combo...

I started by creating this adorable tea cup with the Grab a Cup Pretty Packaging template using green cardstock and added the decorative parts which were printed on the Blooming with Elegance Pretty Impressions Printables papers. I filled it with some crafty goodies including a jar of buttons, a tea cup stamp set, some ribbon, floral trim and a bag of flowers!

The tag is tied on the little button jar and has a sentiment from the On Display digital stamp set popped up on top of the dp and a scalloped square die cut. I added a lacey square topped with the dp for my base, a bow and a gem flourish to match my card!

My matching card is made with the same papers and I added an olive colored Spellbinders Lacey Squares die cut, a big white bloom, some celery colored leaves and turquoise gem flourishes! A pretty sheer and satin bow finish it off!

To My Wonderful Friend!

Hi there! I have no idea where the morning went today...I've been cleaning and crafting the day away, but I forgot to tell you the great news...Hobby Lobby opened up right down the street in Hanover!!! Whoo Hoo! I'm so happy I don't have to drive 1 1/2 hours to the nearest one anymore! Yay! I was there on Wednesday right after they opened and I ran into my crafty friend Julie from Paper and Such and I heard that Janice was already there too! We'll have to meet up for some shopping and lunch sometime girls!

I have another card for you today. I began a huge clean up of my craft room and so I just had to sit down in my straightened up space and play along with my favorite challenges since I have the whole house to myself today! I used one of my favorite Flourishes sets too...Butterflies & Blossoms! I followed the Card Patterns sketch from last Saturday and three in a row elements from Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Bingo card!

I started with this pretty TCP Studio dp and added some lace, my squares and a nifty little Melissa Frances frame. I colored my butterfly with Copics and cut it out, popped it up and made it look like it's flying right in the frame! My sentiment is from the same set and it's stamped on kraft and popped up too then tied up with some rustic twine. Some pearls in the corners and Prima flowers make this one complete!

Hi there and a huge Happy Friday to you! I'm so happy to have the next four days off of work! I have a special card for you today...it's Digi Day at Stamp Something Challenge and I made this one for my hubs! It's actually quite CAS for me...don't ya think?!

I am showcasing this beautiful Poppies image by Delicious Doodles! It's colored with Copics and I've been using this Spellbinders die a lot lately...it might be my new fave! I loved the contrast of the black and white with the red so I kept it pretty simple and used a dp with black frames on a white background. I added my sentiment by JustRite stamps with a couple of pearls and popped it up for some dimension. This big black sheer and satin bow is the big finish on this one!

Here's Birdie Friend by Crissy Armstrong...isn't she adorable! It was so hard to decide which image to use this month because there are so many great ones, but this one caught me eye right away! I just love the little birdie sitting on those poppies! I've colored the image with Copics and cut it out with my Spellbinders dies. This sweet sentiment is new too...it's by Raindrop Echo Designs and it's one of six sentiment from the In My Garden collection.

I used my favorite papers from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist and added a seam binding double bow with a brad, some leaf trinket pins, a few swirls, a double punched butterfly with some pearls and a cute little watering can brad!

Hi there stampy friends! I have to work today, but before I leave, I want to show you a card I made for one of my favorite challenges...the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge, that is!

I just love the a la modes stamps and this sketch is perfect for their long, slender figures! Here's the Take Time a la mode...she's colored with Copics and I added a little bit of shimmer with a gel pen to the center of the clock. My sentiment is from another a la mode set called Time to Celebrate and it's cut out with the edge of a Spellbinders die!

I added lots of stitching, a thick grosgrain ribbon topped with a seam binding bow and brad and pearls in the corners! That's all I have for now...today was the first day of high school for my little girl (who isn't so little anymore!) and I'm off to work now.

Hi there and Happy Monday! The Shabby Tea Room Challenge is new today and I'm your hostess this week! I hope you like the theme I chose...I wanted to pick something different that I hadn't seen done before...so, it's Birthstones...just use the color of your birthstone on your card or project! Our wonderful sponsor this week is Pink Persimmon! My birthday is in October, so I was lucky and got one of my favorite colors to work with...PINK! The opal is also my birthstone!

And, I don't have just one sample for you today...not just two...but three cards! I got on a roll I guess and just kept having fun with the Moxie Fab World sketches...there's actually four sketch challenges going on right now, but I only had time for three today!

Here's the first one...

I've used the sketch for the Moxie Fab World Shaped Sketch Challenge and paired it up with these adorable stamps from our sponsor...Pink Persimmon! There are two sets used here...Scottie Dogs and You're a Jewel!

I used my Spellbinders circle, lacey circle and label dies to create this fun card. I used four of the Scottie Dog stamps to create all the details including her houndstooth jacket and I just added some 'jewels' to match my sentiment! Her bow is colored with Copics.

See the sketch over there --> it's for the Moxie Fab World Horizontal Sketch Challenge! I love the CAS look of this one, but I had to add a little shimmer and shine with some blingy gems in the center of the medallions and a pretty beaded flower center for my big bloom! I added a little color with my pink Copics too!

This one is a gem! I really like square cards, so this one was super easy! It's for the Moxie Fab World Square Sketch Challenge.
I embossed the background, added my bling and popped up my sentiment! Voila'...a super easy, super fun gift card!

Hi there friends! While the bad news is that hurricane Irene is coming to town tonight, I wanted to share some good news with you! I was chosen to be a part of the Color Team at the My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette Challenge! I do love color challenges and this one is going to be so much fun! I have always been a huge fan of Lauren's products, too, and now I'll get a chance to use them every week!

There's the graphic (over there to the left) for my first challenge...Lime, Orange and Melon...super fun summer colors, huh?! Here's my card...

I started with this beautiful digi paper from the Spring Is Here collection! Then I layered up my tall coffee cup and punny sentiment from the On Display digital stamp collection! I colored my cup with Copics and added some green ribbon topped with melon rick-rack, a shimmery pink flower, some pretty roses and leaves and a few gemss on the bottom! This will be perfect for my coffee loving friend...and I might just tuck a little coffee shop gift card inside as well!

I'm late...I'm late...not only posting this card, but for a cheerleading pool party, so I'm going to have to make this one short and sweet!

Happy Birthday Flourishes Stamps!

Flourishes is lighting the candles and getting ready to sing to honor their 4th Birthday! And, as a way to celebrate, I’m happy to say I was hand-picked to help them have a bit of a party as a designer for their customer appreciation hop! The only challenge here was to create a card or project using my favorite Flourishes stamp set. Read on...I’ll tell you how you can win some Flourishes goodies too!

Here's what I made to celebrate Flourishes 4th Birthday...

I have to be honest, choosing just one favorite Flourishes stamp set was pretty difficult for me! But, for the sake of this birthday celebration hop, I have chosen my 'go to' set called Seasonal Wreaths! This beautiful rose wreath is just one of four gorgeous wreaths in the set! You get a bunch of great sentiments too...like the one I stamped in a row across my card.

First, I couldn't decide on pink or purple, so I decided on both and I colored my wreath image with my Copics. Then, I decided to fussy cut all around it...and even in the center. Thank goodness I have good eyesight! The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Leafy Branch embossing folder...just in case you were wondering. I added some wide pink ribbon and lots of bling 'flourishes'! (btw, I'm sorry that my ribbon looks crooked on this photo, but no matter how many times I adjusted it and try to make my ribbon look straight, it just doesn't want to photograph nicely at an angle, so I decided to stop messing with it and leave it be! I always say...it is what it is!)

Today, I'm using a sweet flower image called Row of Flowers by Moon Cookie Gallery along with my sentiment from the Flowers in Bloom set by Raindrop Echo Designs. I cut my sentiment out with a Spellbinders Labels Eight die and framed my image in purple with their Fleur de Lis Rectangles die. The flowers are colored with Copics to match my dp and I added some ribbon and pearls to this sweet card!

The Sweet Days of Summer at The Shabby Tea Room!

Hi there and Happy Monday! The Shabby Tea Room Challenge is new today! Don't you just love the shades of peach, pink and green in this gorgeous inspiration photo?! I know I do! Well, you get to use these beautiful colors on your card or project along with a handmade flower! Our theme is called The Sweet Days of Summer! Our wonderful sponsor this week is Paper Pretties!

I just love this color combination and I knew I had the perfect Graphic 45 papers to go with it! I colored this pretty Roses image with Copics, fussy cut all around it and mounted it on this Spellbinders shape. I also hand cut the green border shape since I thought the next size Nestie was too large. I followed the sketch for the SCS August Fan Club monthly theme and added some lace, pearls, rolled roses created with a MFT die and a pearl flourish. My sentiment is from Rubbernecker Stamps and I stamped the ends of the sentiment paper with one of the layers of the birthday cake in the Flourishes Let Them Eat Cake set!

Hi there! It's time for a new Stamp Something Challenge! This week is all about Thank You's and our sponsor isthe fabulous Funky Kits!

Here's Sugar Nellie's Flower Girl! I've colored her little dress with my favorite Copics...BG10, 11, 72, 75 and 78. And, since I chose this fun floral paper, there's a touch of Violets in there too! This is a much lighter hair combination than I usually color as well! I guess it's good to try new things, right?! I followed the August SFYTT and added some zigzag stitching, a pretty Marianne's flourish and lots of gems all around! I surprised myself when I decided this was done...why? you ask?...there's no ribbon or flowers on it! But, nonetheless, I think it has 'just enough' and it's done! BTW, the sentiment and banner die cut are from PTI!

That means it's time to use all those supplies we've been hoarding for one reason or another!

I hope you came from Taylor's Blog and if so, you are on the right track! There's a list at the bottom of this post if you need to get back on track too!

Here's my card using Sankari's fun sketch...

I am definitely guilty of hoarding paper and I have been hoarding these gorgeous Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden papers for some time now. I challenged myself to use them, so I paired it up with TE's Discover Your Wings set and created a beautifully framed silhouette using the Spellbinders lacey squares dies. It's sitting up on some pop dots for dimension.

The larger butterfly is also from this set. I stamped it on the dp with Tattered Rose Distress Ink, cut it out, adhered it to some black cardstock and cut an outline around it. The tiny black butterflies are cut with a Marvy punch...I wanted them to mimic the silhouette.

I stitched around the larger panel, added some pearls to the corners and wrapped it all up with some seam binding that was stamped with the Tattered Rose ink to create this custom color. My sentiment is popped up too and a few pearls finish it off nicely!

You've Got Style!

Hi there! I am so excited to share this little project with you today! Who doesn't love a pretty pair of shoes?! Well, our new sponsor at The Shabby Tea Room Challenge is Creations by AR and I have made this adorable shoe using their Elegant Sole template!

This week's theme is Polka Dots...how easy is that! I used some BoBunny Double Dot cardstock as my polka dots...you can find it on the lining of the shoe and on the front of my card. This little template is so easy to assemble too...and I used the PDF version!

These sweet papers are from Basic Grey's Two Scoops Collection. The sentiment is from Verve's Express Yourself stamp set. I just added a paper rose with a pearl in it to the shoe and kept it very simple! On the card, I added a seam binding ribbon and bow topped with a matching BG brad and a pearl flourish!

Here's my card for this fun hop...

Here's Kenny K's sassy Rock Chick image paired up with one of Raindrop Echo's new City Talk sentiments! She's colored with Copics and popped up on pop dots for some dimension. Her guitar is paper-pieced and blinged up a bit with silver beads and gems. I added a striped ribbon and sheer bow. Then comes more bling...a big gem brad on my bow, a super cool arrow...pointing up of course and some gems in the corner finish it off!

I created my background by starting with the brick edge image and flipped it to create a wall effect. Then, I added the little broken brick wall image. It's colored with various shades of red Copics to achieve and aged look and the edges and center area were 'dirtied' up a bit with some gray tones. The edges of my papers are distressed and inked too!

The Dog Days of Summer at Stamp Something!

Hi there! Are you ready for a fun challenge theme?! We're celebrating the Dog Days of Summer at the Stamp Something Challenge this week! That's right...get out those dog images, papers and embellies and join us for some fun! Our sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe's Crafts! Here's my dog days card...
I found this little cutie in my stash and I don't think it has ever seen ink...don't you hate it when that happens?! My little doggie is called Dottie from Inky Antics and she's peeking out from a giant pinwheel on a lollipop stick that's held together with a BG brad! I stamped the cloud background and added a couple layers of grass cut with an MFT die. There's lots of layers of BG Two Scoops papers here too. A few pearls, a double layer MS butterfly blinged up with some Stickles and a pretty silk ribbon and bow are topped with a sentiment that only a true dog lover would understand! I can put any sentiment I want on the inside...so consider this a 'just because' card for right now!

p.s. this card is for my Mom...she has 6 dogs, 5 of which are Yorkies (and 8 cats too)! She'll totally get it!

Hello! Just popping in with this pretty little card I made for the Flourishes Scavenger Hop Challenge! It was so much fun hopping to all the designers blogs to get the clues for the recipe to make my card! I was so happy to see that each one was right up my alley!

I've used the Mix-n-Mugs set for my card today! This set has so many sweet little sentiments in the prettiest font! I chose to paper piece my mug and add some shading with my Copics. The flowers are also colored with Copics. There's a little bling in the flower centers too! I used some MME dps and added a double layer butterfly with some bling, a few pearls and a sheer ribbon and bow!

New Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog - You Are My Sunshine

Hi there! Today is the day! It's our first challenge at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog! Yay! We have a super fun theme for you...it's one of my favorites too...Ribbons and Bows! Here's my sweet card for this week's challenge...

I am showcasing this new digi image called Forget Me Not by Crissy Armstrong...isn't she the sweetest?! She's colored with Copics and her skirt and headband are paper-pieced. I cut her out with the Spellbinders Labels Eight dies. I added a little extra grass all around her with my Copics and stamped a sky background and highlighted it with some soft Copic colors! My sentiment is from the Emma Swinging Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs which you can find at Whimsy Stamps! It sorta reminds me of a sun peeking out from the clouds...and what a beautiful day this scene depicts so the sun must be out!

I added some fun embellishments including a felt cloud, my ribbon and big ole' bow, some Spellbinders flourish die cuts and a crystal button with a second bow tied from some pink and white baker's twine! A few pearls on my sunshine sentiment and a pearl in each corner are the finishing touches!

While I was playing along with some of my favorite Flourishes challenges, I just happened to get off work early today which is Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge day, so I decided to get busy right away!

Here's my fruitful card made with the Seeds of Friendship and Berry Sweet stamp sets! The seed packet is stamped on some MME Stella & Rose Mabel Love Letters paper and matted with some blueberry colored cardstock. I actually started coloring the image on this card last month for the Farm Fresh challenge, but for whatever reason, it got set aside and then we were busy with vacation...so all I had to do was pull it out and finish it!

I added a twill pleated ribbon with my sentiment attached, some pearls on each side and a few little pearl flourishes. My banner and blueberries are popped up with pop dots for some dimension and I tied a little seam binding on the stem too!

Hi there crafty friends! Have you ever been inspired by a sunset? I know I have and when I saw the Shades of Sunset challenge at Flourishes, I made sure to make some crafty time to play along!

Now, these colors are a little outside my realm of comfort, but I have always appreciated the colors since my birthday is in October and you really can't escape them at that time of year!

And, I just got back from vacation where I have seen some of the most beautiful and inspiring sunsets! So, I got out my Hearts & Flowers set and tried to recreate the flowers that I have seen using these colors...I even photographed my card on the Copics I used in case you want to know! The background is embossed with a Sizzix folder and I added this coral eyelet lace and my PTI die cut banner with my sweet sentiment. I didn't have the exact colors of pearls I wanted, so I used my Copics to make custom colored pearls!

Tea for Two at the Shabby Tea Room!

Hi there and Happy Monday! Are you ready for this week's Shabby Tea Room challenge?! I am! I'm going back to work today after my vacation, but here's a beautiful inspiration photo chosen by our hostess, Sheri, for you to have fun with! The theme she chose this week is Tea for Two! Please use this inspiration photo and the colors BLUE AND GREEN on your card or project! Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish! I sure hope you'll join us!

Here's my Tea Time themed card featuring the Two for Tea teapot image! I layered up these great blue and green papers, cut out this great shape with Spellbinders dies, added a bright white doily and this oh-so-pretty white sheer gathered ribbon. I cut my own chipboard frame using the smaller dies too. Then, I inked them with white ink and added a coating of Diamond Stickles. There's more of Deb's Simple Treasures seam binding here, a sweet mini rose, some trinket pins and my sentiment from PTI tied on with some twine!
