birthday wishes...

Hello there - my 12 year old daughter is having a pool party today and for some unknown reason, I actually have time to sit here and post this card for you to see. It's for the Color Throwdown #96 and I used Kazan's Sketch #54 over at 2 Sketches 4 You which are both shown above.

I think this K & Co. Wild Raspberry paper is the perfect combination of the challenge colors of so saffron and cool carribean and I added some pumpkin pie with the cardstock! I cut out the image background and mats with Spellbinders Labels One. The image is from BoBunny and is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa as well as the sentiment.The papers are all edged in ColorBox blue lagoon chalk ink for a distressed effect and I found this cool champagne colored lace ribbon at the craft store and couldn't resist it...I think it really picks up the background paper color. A few Recollections pearls finishes it off nicely! I hope you like it...if you do, please leave a comment!
