This first card is inspired by all the great fall colors and I couldn't wait to use this stamp set with this Paper Studio Mirabelle collection of papers! I started by cutting out my circle with Spellbinders Std. Circles Lg. set and left the die on the paper for that clean-edged look. Then I loaded up my stipple brush with Ranger Distress Antique Linen ink and gave the inside of the circle an airbrushed look. (maybe one day soon I'll get a Copic Airbrush system...my birthday is coming up in a couple of months...hint, hint..wink, wink...in case anyone in particular is reading this!) I also used this technique on the sentiment after it was stamped.
The image and sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Discover Your Wings set and it has the most beautiful stamps! I used ColorBox Chestnut Roan ink for my image, sentiment and to ink all the edges of the paper elements on this card...it's a really rich brown perfect for fall colors.
The scalloped scallop punch from Fiskars was the perfect size for this card. I added some flowers, pearls and a little organdy ribbon and voila'!
This second card is all me! I love black and pink together and I love the Hangin' Out set from Taylored Expressions! Oh, I have so many cards to make using this set!
I started by stamping the dress with Memento tuxedo black onto this fun Kaiser paper and cut it out. Then, I popped it up on foam dots and added the brads and embroidery floss to make it "hang!" After all the paper elements were in place, I just added a few flowers with brad centers and this time I got out the pearls for an accent on the scalloped edge! So girly...so me! I think I'll send this one to my friend I haven't seen in a while...we need a girls night out!
Thanks for stopping by and have fun hopping around!
