Hi there - I have something to share with you today...I jumped way out of my "box" and attempted the Embellish Magazine Color Challenge using paper piecing. Now, it's not a secret that I love paper piecing...I do it all the time. This time, I paper pieced this whole jar and all it's tiny little accents right down to a teensy little ribbon! What is completely out of my box is this color comination of yellow, kraft, light green and dark green. I think it works - it has a sorta "pickling" kinda feel to it! Oh, and their sponsor is My Favorite Things and that stamp company is actually one of my favorite things!
Well, it also fits the bill for The Shabby Tea Room #27 Fresh Living...which is looking for nature or GREEN! I think I hit the green with this one! The stamps are all Papertrey Ink and the papers are my leftovers from a K & Co. paper pad from when dd was a girl scout! I have to go...but I might be back later with something else...you never know!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
You're right, Pattie ... it does remind me of a fresh, homemade jar of canned pickles - YUM! Great job with your paper piecing!! TFS in the Tea Room :)
ReplyDeletePaper piecing is such a tricky thing to get just so. You have done it. I really admire your skill.
ReplyDeletePickled tomatoes, maybe!
