Birthdays are the Best!

Hi there! It's been one crazy day here! My cable modem went up and I've been on the phone half the day with the cable company trying to get my computer working...how did we ever live without email and the internet? Anyway, a short trip up the road to the cable company and a new modem...now we're back in business.

I'm going a little outside my box again for this one. I'm not traditionally a fan of yellow. But I have some new goals...remember the one about playing along with my favorite challenges? So, here I am using Mona's fabulous color challenge palette of peach, yellow and light pink! It reminds me of sherbet on a summer day!

I have been also trying to use my new (to me) stamp sets that haven't been used yet and this is one of them! I love PTI stamps and this Blooming Button Bits set is so much fun to play with! I stamped it with Memento Bamboo Leaves and added all three colors of the palette in my buttons. The border is punched with a Martha Stewart around the page punch and I added a little sheer pink bow to tie it all together!

Here is the CR84FN color palette...

Challenges:
CR84FN9 - Yellow, Peach and Light Pink
Papertrey Paper Dolls #29 - Simplilcity
Stampin' Royalty #53 - Birthday
Really Reasonable Ribbon #15 - Something New (image) plus ribbon

  13. Very pretty card! I like how you put a smaller mat behind the border so that only some of the cut-outs were matted. Clever! Thanks for joining the Paper Dolls Challenge.
