Hi there - I had to work today...retail, what can I say?! I had a little time last night before bed to make today's card and I must say, it was a little out of my "box" when it came to the colors I used. I made this card for an any occasion card...so when I need it, I can include whatever sentiment I want inside to finish it off!
This card will be entered into a few different challenges. First, it used the Taylored Expressions sketch 115. Then I will play over at Just Us Girls for their challenge #35 which includes dry embossing..I have the mat and the center strip embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. And finally, it is for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #61 on Hope Stamps Eternal using the colors of yellow and white like the inspiration cupcakes. Here are the sketch and picture...
First, I stamped the orchids in pot by Stampendous: Orchid Greetings with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with these copics:
Then, I chose my paper...from the K & Co. Gypsy Baby paper pad along with some DCWV cardstock. I embossed the cardstock pieces with Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder and inked the edges with ColorBox Lime and Rose Coral. I cut slits in the image to thread the rick rack through because I didn't want it to run right across my image. A couple of Fiskars punches for the scalloped circle and plain circle for my sentiment (from same stamp set) and a little Marcella by K bling and it's done!
Thanks for taking a look - I hope you like it...and if you do, please leave a comment!
