Witch Way to the PARTY!

My daughter decided she would like to have a Halloween Costume Party this year and I am in full swing of making decorations and planning a party for a group of 13 year olds! It's going to be so much fun! She decided she wants a "cute" theme, so I'm going with it...along with a few scary things mixed in. But not this project - it's C-U-T-E and it's called the Witch Boot Shaped Card from The Cutting Cafe'. You get the witch boot shaped card base, a shaped template for the top of the card and all the accessories need to complete the project, including 4 sentiments and a matching envelope!

I blinged mine up a bit, but that's the fun in using templates...you get to choose what theme by choosing your own papers and fun embellishments! I cut my base using a lime green cardstock and then the top shape with this adorable polka dotted paper. Then the strap and buckle are both cut from cardstock to match. I used an EK success tiny flower punch and dotted them with the sparkly "buttons" courtesy of some Stickles.

I cut out the star boot tip with a Fiskars punch for the background star and the inside star is from the cutting file. I couldn't resist using some more Stickles...this time in purple and lime green. More of the plaid Halloween ribbon I just love these days and a scalloped punch of paper behind my sentiment which has been distressed with green ink. Oh, and all the edges of every piece of paper here is distressed with black ink too (even those tiny little purple circles)!
