There is Poetry in Kindness...and a Winner!

Wow! Is it really Monday already!?! I think that was the fasted weekend. However, there is something good about Mondays...The Shabby Tea Room Challenge! This week's theme is a super fun game of BINGO! From the graphic shown below, you need to choose three in a row (vertically, horizontally or diagonally) and use those elements on your card or project! And...our super new sponsor is Pixie Dust Paperie!


I have chosen to go vertically down the center, so my card uses Lace, Flowers and Embossing! The papers and embellies are part of a new collection I found this week at J's called Flea Market by Colorbok. I just loved the shabby feel of all the elements.

I started by inking the edges and layering my patterned papers...then I added a doily element that was embossed with the Cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder and inked with Martha Stewart pink chalk ink to bring out the details. Some lace trim and fabric die cut border are topped with beautiful roses and framed by rich, chocolate pearl flourishes!

My sentiment is from JustRite's Kindness Cling Set and is stamped on a Spellbinders die cut piece of dp, inked and popped up for dimension.

This is a special thank you card for a very sweet friend of mine who has truly meant so much to me over the years and shown me so much love and respect. I just want her to know how special she is and how special she makes me feel!
