Today...I Celebrate You!

It's Monday and I have The Mamas and the Papas song stuck in my head...Monday, Monday, bah da, bah da da da... Monday also means it's time for a new Shabby Tea Room Challenge! This week, we have this oh-so-pretty inspiration photo brought to us by our hostess Melissa...

Melissa has chosen our shabby theme this week called "Doilies and Lace" and our sponsor is Cupcake Cards & Craft! So, get out your doilies and lace and play along...you can use stamps, die cuts, paper lace or doilies, fabric, any way you want to show us some doilies and lace! Here's my shabby creation...

For my base, I found a scrap of one of my favorite dps from October Afternoon Thrift Shop and layered it with some embossed vellum and inked up the edges with Antique Linen Ranger Distress Ink. I got this stamped postcard when we had our PA stampy day last month. I colored the roses with Copics and inked the edges. Then comes all the fun stuff...a vintage doily topped with aged roses and leaves, some lace trim accented with pearls and a die cut bird.

My sentiment is from JustRite Stampers Birthday Centers set and sits atop several layers including my dp and vellum which were cut using the Spellbinders Labels Two set. I finished it off with a sweet bow of some vintage seam binding from Deb's Simple Treasures Etsy shop! Be sure to stop by and visit the rest of The Shabby Tea Room Design Team blogs:
