I chose this sweet image from the Home Grown collection at Sugar Nellie called Purrfect Playmates. I love light brown hair with highlights, so I pulled out my Copics and used E51, E33, E35 and E57 on her hair. I start with my lightest color when I do hair and work outward. The darkest color is only used in small areas where the shadows would be and I use light flicking strokes.
I layered up lots of paper on this card including this pretty dp by My Minds Eye and added some zigzag stitching, pearls, a sheer and satin ribbon and bow, mini rose, a button in place of the yoyo and some flourishes. My sentiment is from My Favorite Things.
Go ahead and give it a try...and stop on over at the Paper Sundaes Challenge and see the favorite hair color of the rest of the Design Team!

She's so lovely - love the highlights in her hair and the papers too!
ReplyDeleteHi Pattie,
ReplyDeletewhat an amazing and adorable card this is.
Gorgeous Pattie, love your colour combos & your colouring is always amazing! When you do the flicking strokes are you using the sketch markers? I have mostly the original copics and a few of the sketch which I am thinking would tend to work better with this technique due to the tip. I think I may be switching some of mine to that. Thanks for your tips!
ReplyDeletegorgeous Pattie...cool highlights!!
