Tea Time at The Shabby Tea Room!

This week's Shabby Tea Room challenge is here and we have a great theme for you...Flower Power! Please use the colors from this beautiful inspiration photo and don't forget to include a FLOWER! Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps! I hope you'll join us and show us some flowers on your card or project! Here's my card and surprise gift...

I have so many things to tell you about this card! First, I couldn't resist using my favorite Webster's Pages dp called Tea Time from the Ladies & Gents collection! It's layered up with some seam binding tied up in a fun bow and topped by a beautiful green bloom with a covered button brad! My 'sentiment' is from the Stitchy Bear Tea Time Stacked Teacups image and it's cut out with the Taylored Expressions It's a Banner Day die and colored with Copics.

Then, I added another image by Stitchy Bear...called Summer Party! She's been fussy cut and her hat was colored with Copics too! There's some pearls in the corners, a little Spellbinders flourish die cut tucked in under the bow and a beaded pin peeking out of the top of the flower!

Wanna see the inside? Here it is...

Since it's 'Tea Time,' I decided to share a special tea bag with my friend! It's one of my favorites from The Eastern Shore Tea Company by Baltimore Coffee in Maryland...that's where I'm from! This tea is called Joy, Hope, Peace Tea and it's flavored with Raspberry and Black Currant. I made a little tea bag holder by scoring the sides, folding them under and adhered it to the inside of the card. It's covered with a scrap piece of the Webster's dp from the front and a little strip from the floral part of the dp as well. I added a pink brad for some dimension, but kept it quite flat since the card is already thicker than usual with the tea bag inside! The inside sentiment is from Papertrey Ink!
