Sweet Holiday Wishes for you...

Hi there - just enough time for a quick post today! I made this adorable little treat bag for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club theme of "It's in the Bag!" I was so happy when my orders came in the mail. I was waiting for this little cutie - she's called Candy Cane Kisses from the a la modes collection!

I used the tutorial at Splitcoast for the 2-5-7-10 box, but it's really more like a little bag with a box bottom when you fold over the flap and tie it with a ribbon. My image is colored with Copics and then I added some snow paint on the candy cane and some Stickles on her hat and earmuffs. I love these new Echo Park papers...this is a great color combo for winter. I punched out a few snowflakes with a Martha Stewart punch, added some pearls and a little more Stickles here and there and tied it all up with this yummy brown snowflake ribbon.

Other Challenges:
Fussy & Fancy #22 - Winter Wonderland
Sweet Stampin #49 - Anything but a Card
Just Us Girls #56 - Template
Fairy Fun Friday #38 - Candy Wrappers

Love...

My crafty friend Debbie is hosting a challenge based on the inspiration photo below on her Simple Treasures blog in honor of her Blog Birthday...it ends tomorrow and she has some blog candy too so go check it out right away!

I wouldn't miss one of her challenges, so I made this shaped card using my Spellbinders Eyelet Circles die set. I cut it out on a white card folded at the top and then cut it out again with this sparkly vanilla cardstock. Then I stamped the Kaiser Craft lacey doilie image with red ink and cut it out by hand. I stamped it again on light blue and cut out just the center then topped it off with a red pearl! The ribbon was threaded through the eyelets of the lace-like card and finished with a red sheer organdy bow. I used an EK punch for the little tag, stamped just the word 'love' from a Papertrey Ink sentiment on it and tied it on with some embroidery floss.

Challenges:
Deb's Simple Treasures -Blog Birthday Bash
Fairy Fun Friday #37 - Tickets or Tags
Meljen's #29 - tags (see my tiny tag!)

Back to School...for you!

Hello - I hope you had a great weekend! Since back to school day is tomorrow, I thought I would share this cute little card today!

My image is the adorable PI girl from MFT, but in digi form from Heather Ellis' Digi Stamp Characters Etsy Shop who is also the sponsor this week for Sweet Sketch Wednesday! I love this image with her sweet face and cute dress. I paper-pieced her dress and decided that she is wearing tights so I colored them to match her sleeves.

I flipped the sketch on it's side to accomodate my image, but it's a great sketch no matter how you look at it! A little lace, a flower and some brown pearls finish is off!

Thankful...

Hello again! I wanted to get this posted before the TE Blog Hop starts! (stop back in a little while for that post!)

I love participating in the JustRite Friday Challenge and this one is a color challenge! I celebrate my birthday in the Fall and I love watching the leaves changing colors too! I went shopping the other day to a lss pretty far away and found this great linen-look fabric and I just had to use it for this card!

I started by stamping my JustRite Applique set with the inspiration colors, mounted them and popped them up off the paper with pop dots for some dimension. I love the frayed edge of the fabric with the crisp paper. Then I added a few pearls, a bow in a very Autumnal brown gingham check, a butterfly stamped with the same set and my sentiment. I punched the corners of the sentiment paper with a hole punch for a new shape!

Challenges:
JustRite Friday Challenge 032: Color
Crafty Creations #81: butterflies!
Fairy Fun Friday #33: punches!

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamps: JustRite Applique, Hampton Art sentiment
Inks: Memento - Rich Cocoa, Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves, ColorBox - Amber Clay, Chestnut Roan
Paper: Imaginisce Apple Cider, Bazzill cardstock
Other: Hemp Natural Fabric, Sweet Petites ribbon, Queen & Co. pearls, Martha Stewart classic butterfly punch, hole punch

Have a great day!

my friend...

Edit: This card was featured at Little Red Wagon's Summer Theme Challenge!

Are you ready for more?! This is one of my faves! Isn't this little sweetie precious? It's another Phindy's Place digi. I took several of my images to the beach with me and my tub of copics and in between waiting for everyone to shower and get ready (3 teenage girls on the trip) I had a lot of me time to do what I wanted...so I colored!

I am loving this color combination too. I think I'll have to use it again soon! Do you see that yummy lavender suede paper! I found it in my stash and couldn't believe I hadn't used it yet! Score! I have to say, I thought long and hard about what color to make her hat, but in the end, this works for me!

I'll be back again later after I help my daughter with her project of the day (whatever she got herself into while she is bored all day) - I can't wait for cheerleading and school to start...wait, did I just say that? Oh, I must have been crazy for a minute thinking I can't wait for more driving and eating concession stand food...yuck!

Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday #124 - whateva!
