Wherever you are...

Hi there - I've been busy at work these days, but I have managed to squeeze in some time to get crafty! I love this color combination and I have been wanting to use this paper for a while now. I put together the perfect combination of challenges to use them! The main focus of the card is the sentiment to go along with the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge this week and I just love bows on my cards (if you haven't noticed!). Also worth mentioning is the Simon Says Challenge that is helping a very worthy cause. Here is the LINK to get more information about the Caring Hearts Card Drive.

I used one of the sentiments from Flourishes Windows to the World set, cut it out with my Spellbinders die, and inked the inside edges with Ranger Distress Tea Dye ink using a sponge blender. I made my own sentiment for the inside on the computer. I recently attended a stamp show where I purchased this Heartfelt Creations die set made by Spellbinders that included this elegant corner flourish. I cut it out twice and put them together as a frame for my sentiment. A few purple pearls add a little touch of bling. All of my edges are inked with Memento Sweet Plum.

Challenges:
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #89 - Sentiment focus
Stampin' Royalty #42 - Ribbons
Sweet Stampin' #48 - Ribbons
Our Creative Corner - Embellishments (die cut, ribbon, pearls)
Caardvarks - Inside and Out
Simon Says Challenge - Thanks

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry & Bright

I was shopping yesterday and came across the most adorable little tag pack from Kaiser and in it was this adorable vintage image of two little girls and a sweet little dog looking into a room where a Christmas tree is little with candles. What intrigued me about it was not only the super cute image, but the colors of it. I would never think of using these colors for Christmas, but somehow it works!

I decided to play with it and use it for the JustRite Friday challenge that calls for the colors of Fall...because that's exactly what these are...rich, peachy tones, browns and greens! I paired it up with some Basic Grey poinsettia printed green paper and then added another surprise I found...snowflakes on a creamy off white and beige paper. I made my own striped paper using JustRite's Victorian Nested Frames border and stamped it several times onto a piece of plain cardstock. My sentiment comes from the Christmas Nested Sentiments and Verse set and is stamped onto the dp with ColorBox Dark Brown ink.

I got these new Petaloo flowers yesterday too! So beautiful! I added some sheer organdy brown ribbon, a little bit of patterend rubons to the image and a few Queen & Co. pearls. If you look closely, I even added a tiny bit of Flower Soft (who is the sponsor of the JustRite challenge) to the tree where the candles are peeking out from the branches!

Challenges:
JustRite Friday Challenge 040 - Fall colors
Mercy's Tuesday Sketch 96
Stampin' Royalty #42 - Ribbons
Sweet Stampin' #48 - Ribbons
Our Creative Corner - Embellishments
City Crafter Challenge #27 - vintage
