Time to Celebrate!

Hi there! It's time for a new Creative Inspirations Challenge and we're CELEBRATING this week! Our theme is Celebrations and our sponsors are Sentiments 4 You and Mami Doodles.

I had so much fun making this card! I used the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club and paired it up with the fun colors from this past week's Colour Q! I knew I had the perfect WRMK papers as soon as I saw the color palette!

My image is the Time to Celebrate a la mode from My Favorite Things! She is colored with Copics and the cake is paper-pieced using the three patterns of the dp. I added some Diamond Stickles for the icing and a little bling cake top! A few more gems and the sketch is complete!

Be sure to stop by the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has to show you today. And...join us on Tuesday, January 18th for our Birthday Celebration Blog Hop for your chance to win some great prizes!

We are challenging you to use something NEW on your card or project! Our sponsors this week are Whiff of Joy and Simon Says Stamp, so be sure to join in on the fun for a chance to win a great prize!

As for the challenge - this image is NEW to me! I got her in an image swap...my first time coloring a Gorjuss Girl by Sugar Nellie...it's called "Just a Girl." She is so cute. I colored her with Copics and cut her out using a Spellbinders die. I dug out my favorite heart papers from Basic Grey's Bittersweet collection to match her sweet, little dress and hair accessory! My sentiment is from Flourishes Berry Sweet set and the die cut heart was cut with a My Favorite Things die set. I just added a little scrap I had of left over ribbon and a few pearls to sweeten it up!

Santa's Little Helper!

Hi there! Get ready to see a bunch of posts from me today. It's a busy day for my DT's today! Up now is the new challenge for the Creative Inspirations Challenge! Our theme is Anything Goes Christmas and this challenge will last until January 1, 2011! Our sponsors for this extended challenge are Softpencil and Stamp and Create.

I couldn't resist using this adorable Miss Clause image from Sugar Nellie that I got from a stampy friend of mine! She is absolutely adorable...she reminds me of my daughter! My sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and goes perfectly with her! She is colored with Copics and then blinged up with tons of Stickles on all the white fuzzy parts of her outfit, hat and boots! I also edged them all with white Liquid Pearls for lots of shimmer! Some Glossy Accents makes her shopping bag shiny too! I cut out my image with a scalloped circle die from Spellbinders and inked the edges with ColorBox chalk ink.

The background is a quarter sheet from BoBunny's Tis The Season collection. I just added some snowflake ribbon, a few pearls and I dotted some of the snowflakes on the paper with the liquid pearls! Perfect for a sweet little girl at Christmas.

Warm Hugs and Cocoa Wishes

Hi there - I can't believe how time flies. It's already time for another Creative Inspirations Blog Challenge. This time, our theme is Christmas Gift and we have two wonderful sponsors...Papercupcake Stamps and Fantastic Ribbons!

My stampy friend Janice let me stamp some of her images from her collection last week and this is one of them. It's called Hug in a Mug by Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie. I don't think it's available any longer, but it sure is cute! She is colored with Copics and I added a touch of Diamond Stickles to her cuffs and bottom of her coat. I hadn't even realized that I colored her coat like Santa's until I had uploaded the picture to put my watermark on it...by then, it was too late and my lovely daughter told me to leave it because she thought it was cute! And so, I left it 'cause she said so!

I made this little gift bag/box by cutting two pieces of the largest size from the Spellbinders Eyelet Squares die set in brown cardstock and adding a three sided piece of folded cardstock in the center as a pouch to hold a little somethin' somethin'. Then I popped up a few layers and another eyelet square shape which is my image. The corners are dotted with Queen & co. red pearls and a pair of Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses mittens are tied on with some of Deb's Simple Treasures vintage seam binding. A couple of gems for the centers, a sweet sentiment from Sweet n Sassy Stamps and a packet of gourmet hot cocoa finishes it perfectly!

Be sure to stop on over at the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created using this great theme! Don't forget to join in the fun and enter your Christmas Gift too! You have two weeks to submit your project for our challenges!

Sending love...

It's time for another Creative Inspirations challenge and this one is sure to get you ready for Christmas. Our theme is Christmas or Winter and our sponsors are Softpencil and Crafty Pad.
If you haven't started on your Christmas or Holiday cards yet, now is a great time to get some Creative Inspiration!

I chose this adorable image from Softpencil called Michu is giving gifts away! I colored the image with Copics and cut it out. I mounted it on pop dots atop some vellum and a blue Bazzill Bling cirlce cut with a Spellbinders die. I layered up some Doodlebug and BoBunny snowflake papers and inked all the edges with red ink before I added some snowflakes cut with McGill and Martha Stewart punches. A little snowflake ribbon ties it together and a couple of irridescent snowflakes dotted with red pearls give it a little something extra!

My sentiment is from the new Cling collection from JustRite Stampers. I used the Sparky and Friends set and cut out this cute mitten, colored it with Copics to match my image and popped it up on some more ribbon!

Be sure to check out the other Creative Inspirations Design Team blogs to see what they have for you this week!

I have used an image from Paper Cupcakes called For the Love of Lipstick! Now, my 13 year old daughter saw this card and loved it, so I know I did it justice! There is no lack of glitter here with numerous colors of Stickles over my many shades of lipsticks (colored with Copics first) and a blingy swirl! Trick or Treat...

Hi there - I've been having a little trouble with my internet connection, but it's finally back on...it was touch and go for days...I could get on and then it would disappear...ugh!

It's time for another Creative Inspirations Challenge though! Our new theme is Halloween or Fall and our sponsors are our own Jenni at Cardmadfairy's Creations and Some Odd Girl! The design team has no tricks this week...only treats!

I used the Some Odd Girl Witchy Tia image and isn't she so cute with her little cat! I colored her with copics and cut her out with a Spellbinders circle die. Then I layered up some fun papers and a gel ribbon slide with some epoxy candy corn and few gems! I tiny bit of yellow Stickles finishes the card! I like it when it comes together so easily! Don't you!?!

Be sure to stop on over at the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog and check out the treats I was talking about!

Fussy & Fancy #21 - Halloween

Get Well Soon...a Creative Inspirations Challenge!

Hi there! I can't believe this weekend is almost over. And as a matter of fact, I can't believe it's October already. Time sure flies when you are having fun! Speaking of fun, there's a new challenge at the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog today! The theme is Get Well Soon and is sponsored by Ellephantastic and Fantastic Ribbons!

I used one of my favorite PI girls from My Favorite Things...My Balloon! She is colored with copics and her dress is paper-pieced with some super fun Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday papers which are also on the base of the card. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and everything is cut out using Spellbinders dies. I decided that she is giving a flower balloon to her friend who is not feeling very well. I love the teal and pink color combo and the brad is from SEI.
I finished it off with some Recollections pearls and a great big sheer bow!

Please take a look at what the other Design Team Members at Creative Inspirations have to share with you today! You will love the adorable images and heartfelt sentiments!

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget about my Follow Me blog candy...you can find it HERE...until October 17th!

I'm Your Biggest Fan!

Hi there! Are you ready for another Creative Inspirations Challenge! Well, I am! We're having a color challenge this time ... can you guess?... it's Black and Pink and our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps!

I have several of their digi stamps in my collection, but this is my favorite. As you probably know, I have a cheerleader in my house and we can't get enough cheerleader stamps around here! This one is called Bugaboo Brats Cheerleader Girl and you can find her right here! My sentiment is from a My Favorite Things PI Girl cheerleader set, but it fit perfectly for this card!

I printed her out and colored her with copics. My daughter saw me coloring this and was so excited! I'm sure she thinks it's for her...and it really is! I'm sure she'll give me a great reason to give it to her soon! The rest of the crafty items I used are from my stash and I wish I could give you all the deets, but I just don't have them. I collect stars for all the sports and cheer layouts and these were just what I needed. I did use my Fiskars star punch to make a few extra though. I added some Stickles in pink, black and silver to jazz up her pompoms and ta-da!

Head on over to the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has for you to see - you will love it!

Tea for Two - My Creative Inspirations Debut!

I hope you are having a great weekend! I'm happy to share this teapot card with you today as my debut DT project for the Creative Inspirations Challenge blog! Our challenge is to make a card that is Anything But Square (or rectangle) and our sponsor this week...Fantastic Ribbons!

My card actually started as a digital stamp...can you believe that?! I found it for free on the web a long time ago, but unfortunately have no information about it to share with you. I printed it out at a size that fits a 4x6 piece of paper and cut it out making a few adjustments in order to make it a usable template. I traced it onto the designer paper and cut it out facing in both directions so the inside of the teapot matches the outside! Then, I trimmed the template down to create the inside of the card using only the main body of the teapot leaving off the handle and spout. I cut the template down one more time to use as a smaller template for my french vanilla cardstock which was used for my sentiment.

My stamps are from the Papertrey Ink's Tea for Two collection and I used the Additions set too! They are stamped using ColorBox Chestnut Roan chalk ink. The front of the card was decorated with some yummy vintage seam binding from Deb's Simple Treasures Etsy Shop, a few beautiful roses...I colored the mini roses with a copic marker to get the perfect color, and a leaf trinket pin with some added beads.

I hope you'll head on over to the Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog to check out the new challenge and see what the very talented ladies on the design team have in store for you. You will be impressed for sure!

Other Challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room #25 - Old Meets New (old = roses, new = paper)

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink - Tea for Two and Additions
Inks: ColorBox Chestnut Roan and Creamy Brown
Paper: October Afternoon, Bazzill french vanilla and guacamole cstock, DVWV cstock
Spellbinders: Standard Circles Lg.
Other: Deb's Simple Treasures seam binding, Maya Road leaf trinket pin with added beads, Recollections mini roses, Prima flower, R20 copic marker, October Afternoon label sticker

Paper Jewels meets Paper Sundaes!

Good morning and Happy Sunday! Or should I say Happy "Sundae" because there's a new challenge at Paper Sundaes today! Our sponsor this week is Paper Jewels! They carry some of the best stamps and supplies including Sweet Pea, CC Designs, Bildmalarna and Spesch stamps!

Today, I decided to play with my very first Sweet Pea stamp. She is beautiful and she is called the Poinsettia Fairy. She is usually shown colored with blonde hair, but I wanted a striking look, so I went with black hair. And I have to say, I like the look, but I was not a fan of coloring black hair. You must be very careful if you go back to shade in the skin that you don't come too close to the black hair or you will have a black or gray streak in the skin...trust me... but if you do, you can try paper piecing that part of the skin that needs the touch up...can you tell where I did that!?!

Crystal has provided us with this awesome sketch today. I love the great space it gives for the shape of the Sweet Pea image to take center stage...and just enough embellishment to highlight whatever image you choose to use. I used lots of Stickles on this one...it's very blingy, but she's a fairy, so she should be, right!?! Ok, everyone knows I love bling...and pearls! I think her silver top makes her look festive and fun and every fairy should have sparkly wings...in my opinion!

Go check out what the Paper Sundaes Design Team has to share with you today...you'll love it!

Other Challenges:
Creative Inspirations Challenge 41 - Christmas in August
Creative Cottage Challenge #21 - Christmas

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamps: Sweet Pea - Poinsettia Fairy, Hampton Art sentiment
Inks: Memento tuxedo black (image), StazOn jet black (sentiment), ColorBox lipstick red (edges)
