Have a Royal Birthday!

Hi there! I just popped in here before work to throw my hat in the ring for the Tiddly Inks April DT Call! I have decided to get back to doing what makes me happy, so here I am. And, here's a TI Sweet Tooth cutie called Let Us Eat Cake! She's adorbs and I love making cards for little princesses!

I paper-pieced her girly dress and added a lot of bling to this card! Sequins, gems and glitter do the trick! I added a die cut banner and changed up the patterns! This sweet little girl is going to make my friend's daughter feel like a princess on her birthday! Who wouldn't love to get this big butter cream cake on their birthday too!?!

You Are Always on My Mind

Hi there! I promise, I really haven't dropped off the face of the earth! It's been a busy year for me so far and with an upcoming high school graduation, college visits almost 7 hours away, my company being purchased after 73 years in business...there's a lot going on!

I did sneak in some time in my oh-so-messy craft room to create something for the Power Poppy Power & Spark Challenge. This month's theme is a Pop of Pastel! Here's the Azalea stamp set all decked out in pastels...

I went pretty traditional on this one. I wanted to take a simple layout and build layers on it, adding just a few touches here and there!  My sentiment is popped up for dimension and you know I love me a sparkly sheer ribbon and some gems!. There's even more sparkle if you look at the detail pic...I added some Stickles to the ends of the flower stamens and some Glossy Accents to the vase! 

Yep, I went old school on this one! This is my comfort zone and I needed some of this therapy lately! It was nice to sit and focus on something other than the zillion life decisions we have been making lately! 

I'm planning on spending some more time in the craft room (to make it a little neater), but that will have to wait until after this weekend's college orientation.

Let's Chat!

Hi there! I had a little time to squeeze into my craft room (it's pretty messy) and it felt so good to sit down and play along with the SugarSketch Challenge over at SugarPea Designs.

I colored this sweet little girl from the Tin Can Chat stamp set and paper-pieced and colored her cute polka dot dress adding some sparkly Stickles to the dots!

Now, I don't recall ever attempting black curly hair, but after putting this card together, I felt there was no other choice and I'm glad I made the attempt. I did add a few curls here and there to fill in and even added that little curl over her ear, but over all, I think it works!

I didn't get too fancy with embellishments...just a black button with some twine tied in a knot and frayed the edges. And, it looks like I didn't color the tin can, but the light shading I did with a cool gray disappeared when I adjusted the lighting on the computer. I wanted it to be white anyway!

Sending You Sweet Holiday Wishes!

Hi there! I'm back and I made a card! It's been a while...a long while...but, I'm not going to bore you with details.  I'm just so happy to be sharing a card with you today. I purchased this sweet Frosted Gingerbread stamp from Power Poppy some time ago and it just happened to be the first thing I saw when I sat down at my craft desk after a long break, so that's what inspired me...that, and candy!

I haven't colored in forever and it was so much fun to start again! It's not that I haven't been getting crafty...it's just been for my daughter's cheer squad. Let's just say I have seen my fair share and then some of red, black and white everything lately!

Oh how I love cupcakes and this one is the sweetest! I paper-pieced this adorable cupcake using stamps and elements from the Sending Sweet Thoughts stamp set combined with the coordinating Sweet Cuts - Sending Sweet Thoughts dies! This adorable cherry paper inspired the theme and it's all about the number 2...including two cherries on the stem, two layers of the die cut number 2, two tiny ribbons, two flower/leaf accents and two sequins topped with two gems!  I've used a sweet sentiment from the You're Invited set for this very special celebration!

DeNami Design Pin-spired Christmas!

Hi there! On the  DeNami Design Blog today, we are sharing our final Pin-spired post of the year! I hope you'll join us for a little Pin-spiration and lots of fun! I just love this pretty little package in the photo, so I made a tag for one of the presents I'll be wrapping this week!

It's got lots of layers and a little bling! I paper-pieced my Brushed Present and added a tiny tag stamped with a sentiment from the Christmas Greetings Petit Four stamp set. It's tied on with some twine and a few gems add a little holiday sparkle!

DeNami Design December Blog Hop ~ Razzle Dazzle!

I started by gathering up three of my favorite DeNami holiday stamps... Santa Chickie, Small Curly Christmas Tree and Med. Happy Holidays Circle! There's five layers here as you can see in the detail! I colored my sweet images and added some Razzle Dazzle with tiny blingy ornaments and some Stickles to my Santa's hat, my sentiment...and if you look closely, on each star atop the trees in the background dp.


I added a shimmery ribbon topped with a bow and a Santa hat brad. Some sparkly Stickles adds more Razzle Dazzle to the fur trim here too!

Paper Sweeties November Release Inspiration!

 

Hi there! Today, on the Paper Sweeties Blog, I am sharing four cards using the newly released stamps and dies! I had so much fun designing with these stamps this month!

 

Here's my sweet snowflake angel using the Make the Season Bright stamp set which also has a coordinating Sweet Cuts die!  I ussed some yummy seam binding and lots of  snowflakes and gems to put the finishing touches on this one!

 

This sweet gift is for my niece.  I used the Season of Love and Ho Ho Ho stamp sets to make a little tag for the rock candy lollipop and the sentiment on my card. A couple of silver snowflakes make it festive and fun!

 

I love gingerbread people and this little gingerbread girl makes my homespun CAS card come alive!  I used the Homespun Holidays and Ho Ho Ho stamp sets along with the coordinating Ho Ho Ho Sweet Cuts die! A little bow brad, a twine bow and a sweet cut heart shape are all it needs to feel warm and cozy!

 

My last card uses the Make the Season Bright stamp set! I love this sweet little wreath and fun sentiment! I added a little color with Copics and gems and layered it up with a die cut swirl, lace doily and sheer bow in my favorite color combination!

Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks: Christmas Doodles!

Hi there! I am over the moon excited to be sharing my cards this week's Taylored Expressions October Release! Today I am showing you a super cute set called

Christmas Doodles!  

I chose to use this sweet Santa image from the set and paired it up with one of the sentiments and the holly image. I stamped the holly in the upper right corner of the sentiment and then did a little fussy cutting around just the holly, added some gems for berries and popped it up for some dimension. 

There's lots going on here by way of Copics, sparkly Stickles snowflakes around my image, some puffy paint for his suit trim and machine stitching. It's all tied up with a grosgrain ribbon and bow topped with a brad and a couple of jingle bells hung with twine!

How cute is this little Friendly Robot!?! I've added a little color with my Copics and paired him up with a simple little "Hello" from the Assorted Greetings Petit Four set. A matching button and twine and a few silver beads keep this one simple and clean!

Just a little card share of another DeNami Design cutie! Here's Chickie w/Ice Cream colored with my Copics and paired up with the Make a Wish stamp for a fun birthday card! I added some colored gems to my sweet dp and ice cream cone then topped it off with a pretty pink and green bow! Check out DeNami Design to see more cuteness!

Paper Sweeties July Release Rewind - Sweetie Pie!

Hi there! Welcome to the final day of the Paper Sweeties July Release! Today is the day we share projects made using previously released stamps!  One of the things I like to do is look for ways to use stamp sets for holidays or occasions other than the original designed use of the set! 

Here's my 'Sweetie Pie' card using the Happy Thanksgiving set...

I die cut lots of layers of this label die from kraft and cardstock and added a die cut banner too! My sentiment is two separate words used together and oh, I can just smell that yummy pie! I added a red gingham ribbon tied up in a big bow and a blingy cherry gem sticker! How sweet it is!

You Are So Tweet!

Hi there! It's day two of the Paper Sweeties July Release Sneak Peeks! 

Here's another cute bird set called Happy Summer! This sweet set has 4 fabulous images and 5 great sentiments! I started with a round card base and topped it with a Quickutz doily die cut. I added a bow topped with a button knotted with twine, a beaded leaf pin and some gems along the doily edges!

Paper Sweeties July Sneak Peeks - Sending Tweet Wishes!

 

Hi there! It's already time for The Paper Sweeties July Release! Can you believe how fast this summer is flying by...I know I can't!  Today and tomorrow, we are showing you some sneak peeks, then the release is on Monday, July 15th!

 

How cute is this little birdie from the new Home Tweet Home set! I just love this little fence too! The set comes with 9 images and 3 sentiments...You are gonna love it! I added a little strip of coordinating paper...one of my faves here...EP Park Bench! A little bow is topped with a fun brad and just a few pearls and that's it!

DeNami Design Sneak Peeks Begin - Chickies!

Hi there! Today is my first official day as a DeNami Design DT member and it's day one of the new release Sneak Peeks! I just love the DeNami Chickies, so I was so excited to be a part of today's reveal! I have three cards to share with you!

Here's my first sneak peek of the new Crafting Chickies stamp... I also used the You're the Best sentiment stamp on this one!

This sweet paper already had all the details on it. I added a little twine tied up with bows to accent the banner and a little punched butterfly topped with gems!

...and who can resist these sweet little Cafe' Chickies...

My little chickies are having a cup of something yummy! I took my que from the bg paper and added a die cut picot circle behind my image and lots of layers for my sentiment from the All Occasion Sentiments stamp set. A bright orange ribbon and bow topped with a BG brad and a few gems finish it up nicely!

Last, but not least, I have a patriotic card using the Chickie with Balloons stamp!

I love this Chickie, especially because it's oh so versatile! Color up those balloons for any holiday and use it year round...it's not just for birthdays! I added lots of die cut stars and popped them up on my star embossed panel. A gem-stone top hat, a few blingy stars and a couple of silver brads add the holiday sparkle!
