Discover your wings...
Hello there - Can you believe this is my 100th post - in only 3 months I have 100 posts!!! I would have never thought 3 months ago that I would have that many...or almost 3000 hits or almost 30 followers, but here I am. I love sharing with everyone, joining challenges and seeing all the inspiring creations out there in blogland! Thanks for joining me and here's to 100 more posts!
I have two completely different cards for you today, but I only have time to show you one of them. I'll have to come back later and share again...busy day today and a possible root canal too! (yuck!)
I was so excited when this Taylored Expressions stamp set came in the mail. It's not a new release, but it is so pretty and I have had my eye on it for some time.
I started by embossing the black cardstock with a Cuttlebug frame (you can see it there on the right top and bottom under the clear acetate) and that decided the whole size and shape of my card. Then I got out the embossing pad and white embossing powder and heat embossed the dragonfly and sentiment - doesn't that just pop on the black paper!?! I used the photos from both The Shabby Tea Room and the Moxie Fab World as inspiration for this card. The shiny acetate reminded me of the The Shabby Tea Room (reflections) photo and the ivory lace and pink pearls (Moxie's she sells seashells) photo.
I really hope you like it. I enjoyed using so many products and techniques on this card...dry embossing, heat embossing, Stickles, acetate, vellum...yummy! I think this would be a great graduation card for a girl...and I'll need quite a few this coming year since my son will graduate...along with lots of his friends.
