*this is my second post for today, so scroll down to see my debut DT project for Creative Inspirations!
Good Morning ! - It's another great Sunday! We're having a party at our house today...just a little cookout for our families to get together. Guess who else is having a good time today...yep, you guessed it...Paper Sundaes has a new challenge today and it's called Mixed Mediums! That means you must use at least two different mediums on your project...you could use chalks over your copics, or pencils over your copics, or mix and match how you like (but never use your copics on top of any other medium). The sponsor this week is My Creative Classroom and they are giving away a $25 gift certificate!
I started by stamping this adorable image that I recently won at Follow Your Heart. They had blog candy for their new release of their Elisabeth Bell exclusive Animapeeps stamps at Susana's Creative Art and Card Design...and I won the whole set! This one is called Sweet Slumbers...such a cute little mouse in her kerchief and nightgown! I used both Bamboo Leaves and Rich Cocoa ink to stamp this. The little dewdrop size inks make it very easy to do this. Then I colored them with my copics (listed below) and topped it with Prismacolor pencils. The mouse is colored with Prismacolors only.
I wanted to use a generic sentiment for this one as I'm not sure who the recipient of this card is yet! The front sentiment is from Craft Affair and the inside (shown) has a sentiment from Our Craft Lounge! I used a couple of different lines of papers here in order to achieve a sort of Fall-like feel to this card, but not limiting myself to using it in the Fall. I finished it off with some printed sheer ribbon topped with twine, a few polka dotted fabric brads and a little pearl! I really hope you like it! Head on over to the Paper Sundaes Challenge blog to join in the fun!
