who's there?

Hi there and Happy Friday! Are you ready for another Stamp Something Challenge?! Wait until you see what the fabulous Design Team has to share with you today! Our new challenge theme is Halloween and our sponsor is Bunny Zoe.

For my card, I used the CC Design Sweet November Baby Trick or Treat Witch. I colored her with copics and then chomped the corners of the paper with a hole punch. I used Mercy's sketch this week and layered up all these cute Halloween papers and cardstock. I punch the edge of the black paper with a Martha Stewart edge punch and filled in the smaller holes with purple Queen & Co. pearls! I added a sweet sparkly ruffly edged bow and a Making Memories tag that appropriately says, 'who's there?" I thought she looked like she might be saying that! A pumpkin sticker finishes it off! Even the pumpkin is looking up to see "who's there!"

Head on over to the Stamp Something Challenge blog and check out all the great samples from the Design Team..and while you are there, add your Halloween creation!

Love You...

Hi there! Just popping in to share this little sweetie of a card today! I made this using the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #130 sketch and I'm going to take the plunge and enter the My Favorite Things October 2010 Guest Designer Challenge! It would be an honor to join their talented group if even for a month! I admire so many of their designers work and I am inspired every day by them!

I used the image from the MFT Friends Forever Jolinne set and the sentiment from the Just For You set. The Challenge is a color challenge to use raspberry, lime green and aqua with an optional color of yellow. I simply adore this paper collection and it had all the perfect colors! I even added just a touch of yellow in the center of my smaller butterfly! I cut out the image using the Spellbinders Labels Sixteen die set - a new favorite of mine!

I have a little girl (who's not so little anymore!) and she always loved to dress up like her dolls. We had American Girl dolls and the matching dresses for her too. That inspired me to make the teddy bear wear a matching dress to Jolinne's! I colored them using copics and then added all the details including the Die-namics Rounded Banner Trio to frame my sentiment! I punched a couple of butterflies, added a little striped sheer ribbon and a few pearls to add a little shimmer!

More Challenges:
The Pink Elephant #85 - childhood
Stamptacular Sunday #79 - layers

Fall Harvest Apple Basket

Edit: This little basket won Honorable Mention at JustRite Friday Challenge 038, Top 3 at Really Reasonable Ribbon and Top 3 at the Fairy Fun Friday Challenge!

I hope you are having a great weekend. Before I make dinner I wanted to share a little project I have been working on today! It's a basket I made from a tutorial on The Pink Elephant challenge blog. The tutorial calls for using a brown paper bag, but I wanted mine to be a little sturdier, so I used decorative paper instead. It was really easy to put together and only uses one piece of paper!

The JustRite Friday Challenge this week is to make a Fall 3-D project and I thought this would be perfect for the occasion! I stamped my Autumn Blessings image and border with Memento Rich Cocoa on Neenah off white paper and colored it with copics. I really like this image and I had fun coloring it up too! I inked up the edges with Memento Bamboo Leaves and mounted it on some pumpkin colored paper cut with Spellbinders dies.

I added all the extras like a few Queen & Co. pearls on my image, some pumpkin ric rac, a shiny red organdy bow and some rustic leaves cut with my new Heartfelt Creations dies also made by Spellbinders. The handle has a brad attaching it to the basket on each side. I think I will use this on Thanksgiving as a side table decoration!

Challenges:
JustRite Friday Challenge 038 - Fall Holiday 3-D project
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #86 - Harvest Home
Color Throwdown #112 - Red, pumpkin, green
Really Reasonable Ribbon #9 - Fall plus ribbon
Simon Says Challenge - It's Autumn
Fairy Fun Friday #36 - Ric Rac
Curtain Call #50 - color inspiration

"Celebrate Today and Everyday" - with Paper Sundaes!

Good morning! It's Sunday and time for another Paper Sundaes Challenge! Our challenge today is Things with Wings and our design team is showcasing images from Wags 'n Whiskers which can be found at our sponsor's store Stamp and Create!

I am using the new Lacey fairy image by Wags 'n Whiskers! I've decided that Lacey is a Peacock Fairy today! I just love this paper collection from BoBunny. I paper-pieced her skirt to look like a tail of peacock feathers and colored her with copics to match. Of course, there's a little bling on this fairy by way of some Stickles and pearls all around! The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is perfect for so many celebrations! It is cut out using the Spellbinders Fancy Tags set.

You'll want to take a peek at what the talented design team has for you today too! So head on over to Paper Sundaes and check it out!

You Make My World Happy

H1! I just got back from a Rubber Stamps and Scrapbook show in my area and I literally had to make myself leave...I was already coming to work late but that not the only reason...more like the dent it put in my purse! Oh well, hubby is going on a golf trip next weekend, so this was my 'golf trip!'

I just got this adorable little MFT PI girl stamp in the mail and I couldn't wait to use it! This is my take on a back to school theme since my kids are too old to give cards to teachers and all that - it's for my dd, who has been very successful in her first couple weeks of school. She was chosen for a team of 8th graders to mentor and guide the 6th graders in school, she made Cheer Captain again of the football cheer squad, she is a member of the service club and will run again for Student Council rep! She is very involved and still gets straight A's - and this is my way of saying I'm so very proud of her!

Challenges:
Create: blog - accordian flowers
MFT blog - Back to School Blues
Colour Q #49 - brown and blues
The Pink Elephant #83 - Back to School

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

My Friend...

What a beautiful day today! I hope your day is going well...I just got home from work and wanted to share this beauty with you! I made this for my friend (obviously!) for her birthday!

I found this great 4x6 paper pad in a discount store somewhere and all the papers are neutral colors and are irridescent (see inset picture), embossed or textured in some way! I wanted to use the colors of the Curtain Call Color Challenge and I didn't really have the right "concord crush" so I took my sapphire blue ribbon and a couple different RV shades of copics and made it the right color!

For The Shabby Tea Room this week, the theme is old meets new...well, my new are these great Waltzing Mouse stamp sets which I just inked up for the first time. They match my old item which is the Spellbinders Nesties Labels 10. I tried something new too! I accidentally smudged my ink on the edge of the flowers and I really liked it...it softened the hard lines and made it sort of watercolor-like! So, then I grabbed a white pencil eraser and wet it ever so slightly every once in a while and smudged the rest of the lines... I'm curious to know what you think about this look!

I added a yummy silk bow, a couple of pearls and I thought it would be interesting to stamp my sentiment right onto the leaf! I'm really happy with how this turned out. I hope you like it too!

Challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room #25 - Old Meets New
Curtain Call Color Challenge - Act 45
Waltzing Mouse #12 - Sketch
The Pink Elephant #82 - Mostly White

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamps: Waltzing Mouse Roses in Bloom and Vintage Labels 10

Paper: Bazzill cardstock, Canson irridescent paper
Spellbinders: Labels 10

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hi - I'm back with several cards tonight. I hate to post them all in one night, but with my work schedule, it's all I can do. So, this sweet pink card is for many challenges. I love it when that happens!

I started with this adorable little girl playing hopscotch...didn't you just love playing hopscotch on the playground and in the driveway or on the sidewalk...anywhere we could draw it! Anyway, this idea was inspired by the Flourishes Kids Play Challenge and of course there are several challenges asking for pink and pearls and anything girly this week, so it fits right in! I also goes along with the summer fun challenges too - hopscotch was so much fun as a kid and all you needed was a piece of chalk and a rock!

The papers are from a new paper pad by Tim Holtz called Vintage Shabby and you know I love vintage and shabby! It's all pinks and blues in various patterned vintage papers! I love it! (especially cause it was on sale at M's) So, I got my Bow Easy in the mail too - LOVE IT!!! A few pearls and a pearl scroll, a great sketch and you have it!

Happy...Happy!

Edite - this card was chosen as a winner at The Pink Elephant Challenge #78!

Good Morning...This is my first of several posts today! I'm going to the beach for a mini vacation and I wanted to share a few things with you!

This first card could be birthday, could be wedding...I left it a generic Happy Happy card because I haven't decided it's intended recipient yet! That's one of the nices things about card making...I can change it to be whatever I want!

I started by using my Flourishes Let Them Eat Cake stamp set. I had my eye on this stamp for a while with this glittery embossing in mind way before I bought it and when I finally got it I couldn't wait to try it out! I stamped the cake plate with StazOn jet black. I need this to be very sharp and pick up on all the detail! Then I embossed the three layers of the cake with Ranger pink embossing glitter...I just love how it turned out! I glued and glittered the little flowers myself with ultra fine glitter and the tiny black ones are colored flowers that I dabbed with my black copic marker!

I dolled it up with some ruffly ribbon, pearls, bling on the black flowers, that oh so pretty lace doilie and ta da...a card dripping with girliness! The sentiment is from a new line at M's called Craft Affair made by Hampton Art.

Challenges:
Fussy n Fancy Friday Challenge #16 - pink and black
Sweet Stampin Challenge #37 - sketch
City Crafters Challenge #16 - YUM!
The Pink Elephant # 78 - Something Yummy!
Crafty Creations #79 - wedding or anniversary

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamps: Craft Affair sentiment, Flourishes Let Them Eat Cake
Inks: StazOn jet black
Paper: Bazzill black and piglet, American Crafts dp
Other: Spellbinder Std. Circles Lg., lace doilie, Prima flowers, black copic marker, ultra fine glitter, Recollections pearls and bling, Spare Parts ruffly black satin ribbon

I really hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!
