Paper Sweeties 6th Birthday Celebration!

 I don't know about you, but the old saying is definitely true - time sure flies when you're having fun! Paper Sweeties is turning 6! Yes, 6! I've been so busy with weddings, a grandson, a kitchen renovation, a college student, and of course a full-time job, that I can't believe it's been 6 years since Paper Sweeties began and I was on the Design Team!

I know it's been a while since I've been here on my blog, but this is the perfect reason to dust it off and share a card with you. My sweet friend, Debbie, asked me to join in the celebration and I was so excited to come to the party! 
Here's my card...

Everyone who knows Debbie at Paper Sweeties, knows her favorite color is PINK, so my card had to have some signature Paper Sweeties pink on it! I started with my patterned papers - some periwinkle wood grain, fun party words and what's a party without some sprinkles!

This adorable cake is from Paper Sweeties Happy Cake Day set. I colored it up with some Copics, added a little shimmer to the icing and popped it up for dimension.  I added some sparkly white ribbon and more pink grosgrain ribbon too! A couple sequins from the Watermelon variety, and a die cut 6 is just enough to make it sweet! You could use this set for any age and for so many occasions!

Paper Sweeties Holiday Blog Hop!

Hi there! It's time for another holiday cookie party and here are my sugar cookies topped with chocolate drizzle and crushed candy canes! Of course I needed a sweet little card to go along with these treats! I found the cutest sweet treat and sentiment in the Homemade with Love stamp set.

I've been super busy lately as I'm sure we all have, but this little set is perfect for a quick card to go with any sweet treat!  A little paper piecing and a bit of coloring and presto, it's done!

It's Paper Sweeties 4th Birthday!

Hi! It's Paper Sweeties 4th Birthday and how sweet of my friend Debbie to ask me to be a part of the celebration!  I do miss hanging out with all the Paper Sweeties and being on a design team, but this lets me be a part of the team for a very happy occasion! Here's my card for the blog hop...

I paper-pieced my umbrella with a sweet rosy paper and added sentiments from three different Paper Sweeties stamp sets...Showering You with Love, You're Invited and Hello Friend. I can use this sentiment for so many occasions...two of which I will need very soon!

I layered up some coordinating papers, a little LOVE die cut and tied it on with one of my favorite black gingham check ribbons. The black card base makes it pop too. There's a few 'raindrops' courtesy of Paper Sweeties Cupcake Sprinkles!

Paper Sweeties 3rd Birthday Celebration!

Guess what?  Paper Sweeties is turning 3!!! I was thrilled to be asked to be a part of this super sweet celebration too! Congrats to Debbie and her Paper Sweeties!

I used the August challenge inspiration board for my color inspiration here (it's just below if you want to take a peek) and inked up some of my favorite stamps from when I was on the DT. This flower is part of the Paper Sweeties Stand Add-on:Fall Harvest set.  I love that this flower can be used for so many occasions! My sentiment is from the You're Invited set!

I applied a sequin to each flower center topped with a coordinating colored pearl and tied on my sentiment with some pretty pink twine! Here's the inspiration board...

Oh how I love cupcakes and this one is the sweetest! I paper-pieced this adorable cupcake using stamps and elements from the Sending Sweet Thoughts stamp set combined with the coordinating Sweet Cuts - Sending Sweet Thoughts dies! This adorable cherry paper inspired the theme and it's all about the number 2...including two cherries on the stem, two layers of the die cut number 2, two tiny ribbons, two flower/leaf accents and two sequins topped with two gems!  I've used a sweet sentiment from the You're Invited set for this very special celebration!

My little shabby card uses 4 Paper Sweeties stamp sets. The circle tag is from Little Wishes, the numbers are stamped with Alphas-Upper, the banner is from the Banner Wishes set and my sentiment is from the Occasions stamp set! I added a little yellow from the inspiration flowers, a little blue twine for the blue paint on the wire basket, a little wood dp inspired by the wood shutters and a little button to add to the flower center.

Paper Sweeties - Winter Wonderland!

Hi there! It's time for the Paper Sweeties December Release! This month is going to be so much fun and a little bittersweet since it's my last release as a member of the Paper Sweeties Design Team. I have so enjoyed working with Debbie and all of the Sweeties! Here's my card for this first day of our release projects! All of the December release stamp sets are available now in the Paper Sweeties Shoppe!

This was so much fun to create! I cut out five of the adorable little images from the Have a Holly Jolly Holiday set along with my sentiment, colored them up and layered them with  lots of fun coordinating papers! A simple ribbon and some gems are all it needs to remind me of my Winter Wonderland!

Paper Sweeties December Inspiration Challenge #14!

Hi there! I can't believe it's December 1st already! I have so much to do for the holidays, but before I can get to that, I have to tell you about the new Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge! This beautiful graphic combines the perfect holiday inspiration photo along with a pretty palette for you to play along with...I hope you'll join us!

I layered up some fun polka-dotted paper with a couple different colors from the inspiration photo and added a beautiful bloom, some twiggy branches, a vintage seam binding bow and pearls! My sentiment is from the Believe stamp set!

Paper Sweeties November Release Inspiration!

 

Hi there! Today, on the Paper Sweeties Blog, I am sharing four cards using the newly released stamps and dies! I had so much fun designing with these stamps this month!

 

Here's my sweet snowflake angel using the Make the Season Bright stamp set which also has a coordinating Sweet Cuts die!  I ussed some yummy seam binding and lots of  snowflakes and gems to put the finishing touches on this one!

 

This sweet gift is for my niece.  I used the Season of Love and Ho Ho Ho stamp sets to make a little tag for the rock candy lollipop and the sentiment on my card. A couple of silver snowflakes make it festive and fun!

 

I love gingerbread people and this little gingerbread girl makes my homespun CAS card come alive!  I used the Homespun Holidays and Ho Ho Ho stamp sets along with the coordinating Ho Ho Ho Sweet Cuts die! A little bow brad, a twine bow and a sweet cut heart shape are all it needs to feel warm and cozy!

 

My last card uses the Make the Season Bright stamp set! I love this sweet little wreath and fun sentiment! I added a little color with Copics and gems and layered it up with a die cut swirl, lace doily and sheer bow in my favorite color combination!

Hi there! Can you believe it's November already!?! I can't, but a new month means it's time for a new challenge at the Paper Sweeties Blog!  Don't you just love all the fun colors of Fall!?! I hope this photo and color theme will to inspire you to create along with us!

I used a sentiment from the Happy Fall Ya'll set and layered up some of my Fall favorites along with a bright red rose, fall leaf, beaded pins, gems and some Ambrosia Cantalope seam binding tied up in a bow and topped off with an antique bronze acorn! Perfect for Fall!

Paper Sweeties October Release Rewind!

 This Thanksgiving card uses four Paper Sweeties stamp sets...

the new Autumn Blessings, Happy Thanksgiving, Gobble Gobble and Sweeties Wagon!

I sponged some clouds for my background and added my paper-pieced wagon and colored images to it. A bit of MFT die cut grass, a couple of gems, some festive Fall ribbon tied in a knot and a little twine to tie on my sentiment tag! I had a lot of fun making this one!

Paper Sweeties Baby Blog Hop!

 

Hello sweeties!  Welcome to a very special event today here at Paper Sweeties!  All of us on the Design Team are here to help our very own sweetie, Jinny Newlin, celebrate the exciting news that she is expecting her third little bundle of joy!  We couldn't be any happier for Jinny and wish her and her sweet little family all the joy and blessings our hearts can hold!

October Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge - Happy Fall Ya'll!

Hi there! Today, at the Paper Sweeties Blog, we are sharing the new October Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge! Starting this month, we will be using an image and color board to inspire you. So, use the colors, use the photo or both...do whatever inspires you!  Here's my sweet treat topper using the inspiration above... 

There's a whole lot of Fall going on atop these yummy gummy treats! I started by coloring and cutting out images from the Stand Add-on 2 and Stand Add-on 3 sets and added my sentiment from the Happy Fall Ya'll set! Gems in Fall colors add the finishing touch to this little gift! No bows since this one is for a little fella!
