Happy Spring!

Good Morning and Happy Friday! Are you ready for Spring?! Well, we are too at the Stamp Something Challenge! This week our theme is Something Spring and our sponsor is Simon Says Stamp!

I have had this very Springy Phindy's Place image called Pretty Blooms for quite some time now and have never colored it...until now! I hate it when that happens! Anyway, I love the sweet little pattern and bright colors in this Memory Box paper, so I used it as my color inspiration.

This awesome Spring sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe' set called One Spring Day...it's brand new! I added a bow, some roses and a few gems and voila'! I love a nice and easy card!
There's even a bit of Stickles (which you can find at Simon Says Stamp) on the butterflies and flower centers in the sentiment!

Be sure to stop by the Stamp Something Challenge Blog and see the Spring Somethings the Design Team has created! Play along for your chance at the great prize too!

{hello friend}

Hi there and TGIF! It's time for the next Stamp Something Challenge and this week is Digi Week! We have some great sponsors....Phindy's Place, Digi Doodle, Some Odd Girl, A Day for Daisies, Sassy Stamps and Crafty Pad...and that means more chances to win, so please join us with your digi image and sentiment creations!

My super cool image is from Phindy's Place and it's called Connected Girl! I sooo have a "Connected Girl" at my house...my 13 year old DD...with her laptop and cell phone connected to her at all times! Oh, and let's not forget the suede boots (Uggs)! It's also a big day for my dd today...she gets her braces off this morning!

This connected girl and her accessories are colored with Copics and layered atop some of these pretty papers left over in my stash...that I cannot for the life of me remember the vendor. (that happens a lot lately! lol) I added a strip of this fabulous Pink Paislee pleated twill trim, a green bow and a couple of pearls. My sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Friendship Ticket Sentiments stamp set!

Be sure to stop by the Stamp Something Challenge blog to see the rest of the Design Team samples and share your digi creation with us!

my friend...

Edit: This card was featured at Little Red Wagon's Summer Theme Challenge!

Are you ready for more?! This is one of my faves! Isn't this little sweetie precious? It's another Phindy's Place digi. I took several of my images to the beach with me and my tub of copics and in between waiting for everyone to shower and get ready (3 teenage girls on the trip) I had a lot of me time to do what I wanted...so I colored!

I am loving this color combination too. I think I'll have to use it again soon! Do you see that yummy lavender suede paper! I found it in my stash and couldn't believe I hadn't used it yet! Score! I have to say, I thought long and hard about what color to make her hat, but in the end, this works for me!

I'll be back again later after I help my daughter with her project of the day (whatever she got herself into while she is bored all day) - I can't wait for cheerleading and school to start...wait, did I just say that? Oh, I must have been crazy for a minute thinking I can't wait for more driving and eating concession stand food...yuck!

Edit - this card was chosen as a winner at The Pink Elephant Challenge #79!

Hi - I'm back with several cards tonight. I hate to post them all in one night, but with my work schedule, it's all I can do. So, this sweet pink card is for many challenges. I love it when that happens!

I started with this adorable little girl playing hopscotch...didn't you just love playing hopscotch on the playground and in the driveway or on the sidewalk...anywhere we could draw it! Anyway, this idea was inspired by the Flourishes Kids Play Challenge and of course there are several challenges asking for pink and pearls and anything girly this week, so it fits right in! I also goes along with the summer fun challenges too - hopscotch was so much fun as a kid and all you needed was a piece of chalk and a rock!

The papers are from a new paper pad by Tim Holtz called Vintage Shabby and you know I love vintage and shabby! It's all pinks and blues in various patterned vintage papers! I love it! (especially cause it was on sale at M's) So, I got my Bow Easy in the mail too - LOVE IT!!! A few pearls and a pearl scroll, a great sketch and you have it!

I hope you like it - I'll be back after dinner (my daughter's favorite - homemade chicken pot pie!) with more!

Just for You...

Good Morning...This is my first 'Sundae' on the design team over at Paper Sundaes as a Sundae Girl and I am sooo excited to share my first creation for the design team! Our challenge this week is stitching and our sponsor is Belles 'n Whistles. They have the most adorable stamps! Although I don't own any Belles 'n Whistles stamps (yet! crossing fingers), I was inspired by their adorable children on their stamps...so I used a digi stamp from Phindy's Place called Celebrate with Cake! I think she has a bit of a vintage look and I love her in that apron! And who doesn't love cake!!! Yum!

I colored her with copics and then I did a bit of color removing with my colorless blender. I used my Spellbinders Classic Ovals set to cut her out and matted her on some cardstock cut with the Big Scalloped Ovals set and embossed with Spellbinders flourish embossing plate which I also used for the background cardstock. I really love these creamy whites and rosey colors together. The dp is a sheet from the Making Memories Flower Patch spiral bound book...it matches perfectly with the Prima flowers. I got this new Spare Parts ruffled ribbon at HL yesterday and it is so pretty! I finished it off with a few pearls, a BG brad and let's not forget the hand-stitched swirl on the bottom corner...I really hope you like it!

I'll be working today, but I'll be checking out all the great designs by the Paper Sundaes Girls over at the Challenge Blog...click here to go check it out yourself!
