Taylored Expressions is 10!

Taylored Expressions is celebrating it's 10th birthday and I am thrilled to celebrate along with Taylor and her amazingly talented designers! I was a guest designer for TE back in October/November of 2013 and it was one of the highlights of my crafting journey.

There are almost 40 designers joining the celebration today and you can find the full list to hop along with us on Taylor's Blog. The TE new release went live last night and they are available now in the new category of the shop! Taylored Expressions loves to celebrate birthdays! Here's my card...

I used the Sweet Tooth Tower Stamp and Die Combo because I am a sucker for cupcakes! It's also a nod to one of TE's first characters - Cuppie! I added some color to match the Hello Happiness paper pack and the solid papers are from the Bold and Sweet paper packs. I embossed the pink panel with the Graphic Impressions - Birthday embossing folder and the white strip with the Loopy Loops embossing folder. The sweet little cupcake atop my sentiment is the Little Bits-Cupcake and the bow is one of my favorite dies - Mix and Match Bows! Just a couple of candy like dots from the Enamel Shapes-Lollipop make it so sweet!

At the heart of Taylored Expressions is a mission to share joy through the gift of handmade cards. As part of their 10th birthday TE is continuing that mission with the launch of a special Share Joy campaign focused on providing birthday cards to those in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the U.S. To make as deep an impact as possible TE is inviting card makers everywhere to join the campaign. It's a BOY!!!

It's a BOY and that means I'm a Grandma!!!
We've known for sometime that my daughter-in-law was having a boy and we even knew his name, but we have been on baby watch for two weeks and the wait is finally over! Parker Matthew Goldman has arrived and to celebrate I made this super fun card with lots and lots of baby items I've been collecting. It was the most fun to make too!
First, here's a pic of me and my son, Matt, with Parker...

In case you are wondering, the onesie, the word 'baby,' the safety pin and balloon are all from SugarPea Designs. The fox, bee and train are Taylored Expressions and the little bunny is Memory Box. And that adorable box they all sit in is Neat and Tangled. I found it while shopping in my 'not-so-local' scrapbook store and just had to have it. There are so many things I plan to do with this little box die! My sentiment is a combination of Mama Elephant and Clearly Besotted.

I just love this combo of colors for a boy instead of just baby blue. Parker's nursery is decorated in a woodland theme with lots of foxes so this will tie in to that too!

Taylored Expressions November Release!

Hi there! It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions! All of the fun new sets are available now in the NEW section of the TE store!

Here's a set called Chalkboard Elements 2! I chose to pair it up with this fun cupcake paper...and we all know how much Taylor loves cupcakes! I added a little more color in the heart with my Copic marker, a sweet sheer bow and a few pearls!

Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Falling for You!

Hi there! It's day three of the Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks! Today, I have two cards to show you using a set called Falling For You! Don't forget - the new release goes live tomorrow - on Thursday, November 7th at 7 am PST!

This set is so versatile! Above, I made a Fall leaf card using two of the leaf images and have them dangling off of the branch image from a previously released set called Tweet Hearts. I added a striped bow, some gems and a little paper-pieced bird too!

My second card is a little Spring-ier, but is an all-occasion Thank You card. I used the wreath image and cut out my sentiment using one of the dies from the Shopping Bag and Labels set. I added a ribbon and topped the bow with a sparkly brad and a little fussy-cut flower to match the wreath. A couple of gems add a little bling to the sentiment too!

Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Wine a Little!

Hi there! It's day two of the Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks! Today, I am showcasing a new suite of wine stamps and dies! Don't forget - the new release goes live on Thursday, November 7th at 7 am PST!

I'm a huge fan of silhouettes (it's even in the name of my blog!) so these Wine and Dine dies were perfect for creating this wine glass silhouette! I stamped my sentiment from the new Wine a Little stamp set and layered up some ribbon and a big 'ole bow topped with a shimmery brad keeping this one pretty simple!

Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Pockets and Pages!

Hi there! I am so excited to start this week because it's time for the Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks! I am having a great time being the Guest Designer and working with the new stamps and dies! Today, we are showcasing a new line called Pockets and Pages! The new release goes live on Thursday, November 7th at 7 am PST!

Pockets and Pages is a new line of stamps and dies that will make scrapbooking your life and making cards so easy! The products are so versatile! You can mix and match to your heart's content for and endless supply of inspiration!

I used several of the new Pockets and Pages sets including the Calendar stamp set, the Instafun stamp set, Label It dies and Essentials 4x4 dies! I also used a couple other dies...Build a Scene: Swirly Clouds and Build a Treat: Tops and Bottoms!

This Fancy Pants brag pad made it so easy too! It's called The Good Life and the papers helped make this layout come together quickly! I added a few embellishments here and there and voila'!

Taylored Expressions October Studio Challenge!

Hi there! It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge. This is a monthly opportunity for the Taylored Expressions team to share what makes our stamping studios hum. Each month we have a fun, crafty question or theme so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

The theme for October is: Never Felt Better!!

Felt is all the rage in crafting. It's so thick and soft and gives that special warm and cozy feeling to fall and winter projects. TE has 21 yummy colors to choose from, but do you ever just stare at all that felt and think, "Hmmmm...what should I do with it?"

I paired up the Mix and Match Bows die and some Split Pea Felt to create my sweet bow!

I just love this color palette in this patterned paper and if you know me, then you know I like to use stamps in a different way! I colored up the Rose Wreath to match my dp in Fall colors! I added a die cut leaf page torn from a book of journaling pages. I added my sentiment along with a row of pearls to bring in a little luster!

Taylored Expressions October Spotlight: Big Bold Christmas!

Hi there! It's time for the Taylored Expressions October Release Spotlight Day! I have had such a great time joining the Baker's Dozen this week! My card features one more of the new stamp sets called Big Bold Christmas!

I just love the chalkboard technique! This fun paper was the perfect background for this fun sentiment! I used an image from the Wings of Joy set on my side panel too. It was just the right size and had a little snowflake! I added a button, tied on a twine bow and I love a few gems to finish it.

Taylored Expressions October Release Day: A Winter View!

Hi there! It's my first Release Day as a Baker's Dozen Guest Designer for Taylored Expressions! The October Release has been incredibly inspiring so far, don't you think?! Today, I have a card featuring another one of the new stamp sets called A Winter View along with the very popular Picture Window die!

You know that first snow fall that just glistens atop the grass and makes everything it touches sparkly? Well, that was my inspiration for this little window scene! I colored it with Copics and added a thin layer of Stickles to create the look. I added some pom-pom trim that reminds me of snowballs and a double seam-binding bow with my little sentiment tag tied on with twine. A few gems that mimic the snowflakes in the scene are the finishing touch!

Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks: Sunflower Bouquet!

Hi there! It's day 2 of the Taylored Expressions October Release Sneak Peeks! I just love all the new stamps, especially this one! Today, I am sharing my card using a beautiful new bouquet set called Sunflower Bouquet!

I'm not usually a fan of sunflowers...not sure why, just never was, but this set has changed my mind! My birthday is in October and so I usually get bouquets containing sunflowers or cupcakes in Fall colors, so I'm pretty used to it by now!

I found a variety of sunflowers on Google images that had a bit of orange in the center of the petals and I loved it, so I just had to whip out my Copics and try it!

I added a satin ribbon and bow topped with a sparkly center gem and my sentiment which is cut out using one of the label dies from the Shopping Bag and Labels die set!

Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks: Christmas Doodles!

Hi there! I am over the moon excited to be sharing my cards this week's Taylored Expressions October Release! Today I am showing you a super cute set called

Christmas Doodles!

I chose to use this sweet Santa image from the set and paired it up with one of the sentiments and the holly image. I stamped the holly in the upper right corner of the sentiment and then did a little fussy cutting around just the holly, added some gems for berries and popped it up for some dimension.

There's lots going on here by way of Copics, sparkly Stickles snowflakes around my image, some puffy paint for his suit trim and machine stitching. It's all tied up with a grosgrain ribbon and bow topped with a brad and a couple of jingle bells hung with twine!
