Owl Always Have You...

Hi there! Guess What? I'm Guest Designing at one of my all-time favorite challenges... The Shabby Tea Room! I miss the Shabby Girls so much!

Here's a sweet inspiration photo for this week's challenge along with the theme called "Time Flies." Use the photo and include something with WINGS on your card or project!

I was inspired by the owls on the bedding along with the quilt and branch above the bed. Here's what I cam up with...


I fashioned a faux quilt by making a patchwork of patterned papers by MME and stamped my little Unity owl duo in pink to match! I cut them out using my Spellbinders circle dies and added a couple of MFT branches, my sentiment cut out with another MFT die, some shabby seam binding bows topped with a BG brad, ribbon, and some blingy flowers and leaves! A couple sets of pearl eyes give my owl friends the finishing touch.

A New Paper and Such Challenge...and a winner!

Hi there! It's time for another Paper and Such Challenge! We're challenging you to a fun technique and one of my favorites...Paper Piecing! Paper piece your favorite stamp and link it up for your chance at a great prize! Here's my card for the challenge...

I decided to use this adorable Unity Itty Bitty Stamp called The Little Things! It's not your traditional kind of stamp to use for this technique, but it had just enough space to show my patterned paper and I like how it turned out! I added a sheer ribbon and bow, a pearl flourish, and a pink flower along with some punched leaves to lots of layers of cardstock and a polka dotted MME paper.

the little things...

Hi there! It's Sunday already...I can't believe another week (and weekend) flew by so fast! One good thing about Sundays...it's Paper Sundaes Challenge day! This week we have a fabulous new sponsor...it's Mo's Digital Pencil Shop and our theme this week is Childhood Memories! I joked with our DT that I don't actually have any 'childhood memories' of being in a teacup (lol), but I chose to use this adorable Teacup Fairy image that I had. It was mostly colored and since I can't focus on the fine lines quite yet because of my eye issue, I just had to finish it up a bit and it was ready to go! My sweet fairy is colored with Copics of course and cut out with a circle die and matted with a scalloped circle die...both from Spellbinders...and all the edges are inked with Antique Linen Ranger Distress Ink. I layered her up with this gorgeous Pink Paislee paper and added a bow of vintage seam binding from Deb's Simple Treasures Etsy shop, a corner filled with roses and leaves and a few pearls! Owl always have you by my side...

Hi there -I'm spending this day off catching up on all I missed while I was working all weekend and getting ready for the next two long days at work. I'm not feeling so well, so I guess it's a good day to just lay around watching TV and resting.

I have a card today, but I'm not sure that it's really "me." I made it last night and I just keep coming back to it and saying "hmmmm" - know what I mean?

These cute little owls are from Unity and are part of the Itty Bitty line of stamps. I really don't have anything else to say...so I'll just post the challenges and see what everyone else has to say!

delight in the day...

I'm back with a quick one...It for the Paper Sundaes Challenge #25 called White Plus One...and I used the simple sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #76.

I used some pretty DCWV cardstock in this warm pinkish red tone punched with Martha Stewart's double loops edge punch Then I paired it up with some white lace, pearls, American Crafts rick rack and a Prima flower. The sentiment stamp is Unity and inked with ColorBox warm red...and the loopy stamp is from TCP Studio.

If I had a flower...

Hello - I'm playing for the first time at the InStyle Stamps June Sketch Challenge. I'm also playing over at the Color Throwdown #98 and at Paper Sundaes Challenge #23 - Pretty as a Princess.

I used the InStyle stamp Ava Holding Balloons for this one...of course, she is now holding flowers because the sentiment from Unity Stamp's Inside & Out set gave me the inspiration to do so!
I love the colors they chose this week at the Color Throwdown...blush blossom, chocolate chip and mellow moss...one of my favorite color combinations! She is stamped with ColorBox Chestnut Roan and colored with copics!

I used my Spellbinders Labels One to cut her out and for the mat too - that's Basic Grey Eva paper on her skirt and as a mat. Behind all that is a piece of moss colored paper that has been embossed with the Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy embossing folder. The edges are all inked up with ColorBox Chestnut Roan and the sentiment was stamped with it too! Petaloo and Prima flowers became Ava's balloons and they are dotted with some Recollections pearls and a little bling. I glittered up her wings and finished it off with a little ribbon peeking from behind the sweet sentiment.
