Best Birthday Wishes...

It's no secret that My Favorite Things stamps are some of my favorite things and so I'm here to show you a card I made for my daughter's teacher. She hasn't given a teacher a gift in years because she's "too old" for that, but she really likes her homeroom teacher this year and asked me to make a birthday card for her.

It just happens that My Favorite Things' November Guest Designer challenge is to use office supplies on your card! So, out came the Die-namics Notebook Edge die and some lined paper! A paperclip holds my ribbons and a few staples here and there are just the touch I need! I used two different sentiment from MFT too! Some Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers provide the color scheme. I paper-pieced then colored the bottom of this adorable little PI girl's dress to match the top part. Doesn't her dress look like graph paper? Another unexpected office supply! This image is called Apple for You. It's done and this card is ready for a little personal message from my daughter!

Wherever you are...

Hi there - I've been busy at work these days, but I have managed to squeeze in some time to get crafty! I love this color combination and I have been wanting to use this paper for a while now. I put together the perfect combination of challenges to use them! The main focus of the card is the sentiment to go along with the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge this week and I just love bows on my cards (if you haven't noticed!). Also worth mentioning is the Simon Says Challenge that is helping a very worthy cause. Here is the LINK to get more information about the Caring Hearts Card Drive.

I used one of the sentiments from Flourishes Windows to the World set, cut it out with my Spellbinders die, and inked the inside edges with Ranger Distress Tea Dye ink using a sponge blender. I made my own sentiment for the inside on the computer. I recently attended a stamp show where I purchased this Heartfelt Creations die set made by Spellbinders that included this elegant corner flourish. I cut it out twice and put them together as a frame for my sentiment. A few purple pearls add a little touch of bling. All of my edges are inked with Memento Sweet Plum.

Challenges:
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #89 - Sentiment focus
Stampin' Royalty #42 - Ribbons
Sweet Stampin' #48 - Ribbons
Our Creative Corner - Embellishments (die cut, ribbon, pearls)
Caardvarks - Inside and Out
Simon Says Challenge - Thanks

Owl always have you by my side...

Hi there -I'm spending this day off catching up on all I missed while I was working all weekend and getting ready for the next two long days at work. I'm not feeling so well, so I guess it's a good day to just lay around watching TV and resting.

I have a card today, but I'm not sure that it's really "me." I made it last night and I just keep coming back to it and saying "hmmmm" - know what I mean?

These cute little owls are from Unity and are part of the Itty Bitty line of stamps. I really don't have anything else to say...so I'll just post the challenges and see what everyone else has to say!

Challenges:
Cupcake Inspirations #78 - photo with owls
There She Goes #74 - photo with turquoise and dots
Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger - photo with quilt on turquoise bench
Taylored Expressions #129 - sketch
Caardvarks - Clean & Simple

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget about my Follow Me blog candy...you can find it HERE...until October 17th!

Put on Your Party Dress...Birthday Girl!

Hi there - I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I've been shopping quite a bit lately (shhh...don't tell the hubby), and ordered from several companies for the first time last week. I also received my first order from MFT last week. I just love this Jolinne stamp. She is so sweet and pretty. I tried to keep it light and airy with my coloring too. Her skirt is paper pieced and don't you just love the smell of lilacs! Even with my allergies, I cannot resist stopping and smelling them when they bloom in Spring!

I made this for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #15 called Stitches, Scallops and Sparkle and for the Caardvarks My Favorite Things/July Challenge for a birthday card!
The Play Date Cafe #38 - purple, lilac, lime green

Note: In real life, this card has a greenish tint to the lilac embossed vellum behind the image...the pic makes it look so gray - not a fan!

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamps: MFT Jolinne - Just For You and sentiments from Who's That Birthday Girl
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: DCWV card, K & Co. Juliana Lilace Embossed Vellum
Copics: E000, E00, E11, E13, C3, RV11, V12, V15, G17
Other: Jolee's Lilacs, Recollections pearls, AC Mini Marks rubon stitches, grosgrain and organdy ribbon from stash, Fiskars scalloped edge punch, Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals Lg.

I hope you like it! Have a great day and stay cool!

forever and ever...

I told you I would be right back...but even I didn't think it would be that fast! I stayed up late last night and this is what you get...crafty goodness!

This card is for another combo of challenges...I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #73, The Crazy for Challenges C4C41 color combo, and the Cuttlebug Spot and Caardvarks June Challenge and Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #71 are all looking for embossing! I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder for this one...it's really become my 'go to' pattern. Have you seen the new embossing folders yet? I have one of them, but I can't wait to get the rest!

I think this will be one of those cards that I will leave blank inside until I need it. It can mean so many things...forever and ever...as in, I'll love you... or we'll be friends..., or I'm here for you... you get the idea! So, I have to take care of a few things, but you never know...I might be in my craft room tonight again being busy!

Supplies:
Paper: Bazzill Basics - grape jelly dot, parakeet, pink, K & Co. Gypsy Baby paper pad
Stamp: Lockhart daisies, dots and roses
Inks: Memento tuxedo black, studio g pink
Copics: RV11, RV14, RV21, RV23, V12, V15, BG32, Y02, YG17, G24
Spellbinders: Classic Scalloped Circles Large
other: lilac organdy ribbon, Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder

Have a great night friends!
Hugs,
