It's Your Birthday...Happy Birthday!

Hi there - it's my day off, but I've been so busy...making treats for a cheerleading bake sale, making locker decorations for the high school soccer team and making this card to share with you!

This card gave me a chance to play along at some of the challenges I have missed in the last few weeks. I'm lovin' this little freebie image called Bo from Tiddly Inks. Their challenge this week is to use one of their animal stamps. I colored him with my copics and then I paired it up with some great papers from my stash and paper-pieced the balloons to match! These little sentiment stamps are a couple of my faves from The Cat's Pajamas You Say It's Your Birthday set.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch, which is a miracle I got that one done in time, and I incorporated the Moxie Fab World Offset Scalloped Challenge in this one...it's not too much since it's a Boy or Man's Birthday card! My color inspiration was from Picture Perfect Creations and the plaid, stitching and stars satisfy some of the other challenges!

The Challenges:
Tiddly Inks #21 - Our Pets
Mojo Monday - Sketch #156
Picture Perfect Creations #30 - Blue, Green, Brown
The Creative Cottage #23 - Boy Birthday
Moxie Fab World - Offset Scallop Gallop
TCP Tuesday #126 - Mad for Plaid
Copic Oz #2 - Card for a Man
Stampin Royalty #37 - Stitching Madness
Little Red Wagon #46 - stars

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned early next week for some very exciting news and some blog candy!

A Pretty in Pink ATC

Good Morning! I had to get up really early today to take my 8th grader to school so she can help the grade 6 kids get ready for the first day of school next week. So, I've been getting caught up in blogland!!!

I made this ATC last night for the There She Goes Challenge #69 and although it has been a long time since I've made one, I really enjoyed working on a project of this size and scale again! They are so cute, and they can be used in several different ways...love that!

I used the colors over at Picture Perfect Creations #27 and the sketch from CPS #181 but I turned it on it's side! I wish you could see how sparkly this is in real life...I added a touch of Cotton Candy Stickles to the tips of the flowers and it just shines in the sunlight...you'll have to take my word for it though!

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamp: Rubber Stamped 'Solidago Sprig'
Inks: Memento - Pear Tart, Rose Bud, Angel Pink, ColorBox - Blue Iris
Paper: Bazzill French Vanilla, DCWV green cdstk
Other: Martha Stewart classic butterfly punch, Cotton Candy Stickles, Recollections pearls, copic YG63

Have a great day...

I left this card without a sentiment because I'm not sure what I will use it for...maybe a birthday for my niece, or for one of my daughter's friends...the possibilities are endless, but I followed the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch to a tee and I love the color combination at Picture Perfect Creations this week! ...thank you...

I back with another card for you... I love making thank you cards! This one is one of my faves...I love pink peonies (I just wish the blooms lasted longer in my garden!) and this digi image from Fred, She Said is so pretty. I also have one of just the bloom, but I haven't colored that one yet!

This card was inspired by a new challenge over at Copic Oz - the first challenge is to use your copics to color flowers! Well, I have plenty of flowers, so easy peesy right! I'm also playing at Picture Perfect Creations and using the Card Patterns sketch 75 for this one!

I started by coloring it with my copics and then had to decide on the papers. Well, I found this awesome K & Co. paper at M's that is already stitched and layered up with yummy dps. I couldn't resist!!! So, I can't take credit for any of this paper stitching but I will take credit for matching it up with my colored image! I really thought about a pink ruffly flower on this one, but I settled on the blue because I didn't want to compete with my peony. I wanted it to pop!

Challenges:
Copic Oz #1 - Flowers!
Card Patterns 75 - sketch
Picture Perfect Creations 24 - color combo

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamps: Fred, She Said Peony in Jar, setiment from MM card making stamps
Ink: ColorBox chestnut roan, StazOn jet black
Paper: K & Co. Traditions floral, Bazzill piglet and rain
Copics: BG000, C1, G21, RV14, RV21, RV23, YG17, YG63
Other: Prima flower, Basic Basic pink satin ribbon

I really hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

You mean the world to me...

Ok, so I wasn't supposed to work today, but since I do, I emailed myself my pics and decided to sneak in my posts while we are not busy.

So, I have a card to show you which really challenged me...mostly because this is a color combination that I would normally never choose. And secondly, because each week, I print out the SFYTT sketch and I never seem to get to it...so this time, I am making sure I do it!

I used several embossing folders to get a little 'more' from my papers on this card and I searched through all my trinkets and brads until I found the right ones to fill those little circle spots in the sketch. I love these pearl brads and they always find their way to the bottom of the bin so I dug them out! I think they add the perfect touch! The sentiment is stamped in silver metallic ink and looks so much better in real life!

Challenges:
Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo #23 - white, gray, yellow
Sketch For You To Try - great sketch!

My Crafty Recipe:
Stamp: Verve One Person sentiment
Ink: Stampabilities silver metallic ink
Paper: K & Co. Gypsy Baby paper pad dp, Bazzill gray and DCWV yellow
Other: Crafts Too daisies emb. fldr., Cuttlebug stylized flowers emb. fldr., Prima flower, K & Co. pearl brads, Spellbinders Std. Circles Lg.

To the world...

Edit: This card was chosen as the Grand Creation Winner at Picture Perfect Creations Week #20!

Hi there - it's another hot one today...but I've been staying cool in my crafty room!

Today's card is for The Shabby Tea Room's Let's Make an Impression (embossing) challenge #17 and I used the colors from the Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo #20 with Kazan's Sketch #56 from 2 Sketches 4 You. It also qualifies for the Cuttlebug Challenge: Be Inspired #91 Doilies and Lace. Put it all together and what do you get...a very pretty card!

The sentiment is one of my all time faves from Verve's One Person stamp set. It's stamped with ColorBox Chestnut Roan and so are the flowers...they're from the same stamp set too! I used my copics to color them in and voila'! The ColorMates Dark Autumn Red is embossed with Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder and the papers are from Basic Grey Bittersweet. They all sit on some chocolate colored Bazzill cardstock. A little lace, a lotta Prima Say It With Pearls and there you have it!

I really hope you like it...thanks for stopping by today!
